NFL Mock: Cardinals Prioritize Defense, Grab Bailey

The NFL Draft is just over a month away, and a fresh mock from NFL.com's Eric Edholm has the Arizona Cardinals grabbing Texas Tech Edge R Usher. David Bailey with the Third Overall Pick. Most recent mocks point to a tackle for Arizona, but Edholm sees them prioritizing defense instead. The Cardinals did nothing to bolster their Edge Rush this offseason, signing no new players there, and their current group of Zaven Collins, Baron. Browning, Jordan Birch, and Vijay Ojalari, combined for just 5.5 sacks. Josh Sweat led with 12 sacks, but he had zero in the fourth quarter of any game, leaving the defense vulnerable late. Edholm notes they can still target a solid right tackle in round two, where past R Usher talent drops off sharply after the top guys, setting up a stronger defense while the offense builds.
