2:00including a film room. Everything you want to know about him is a player. What the browns did, what my thoughts are on the entirety of that contract, that trade, all of it will be available. And like I said, deep dive will be prepared. Just been today watching the player. I don't think you can give a comprehensive breakdown, just reporting or regurgitating the data of what somebody else tells you a player is based on a site. You need to get in and watch that player watch and perform, see if the fit is there for the structure of offense. There's a lot of elements, right? So I spent a majority of the day after the trade, looking into the details of the contract, looking into the details of the player, both at tackle, at guard, all the moving parts. And I promise you, that will be all available for you tomorrow. Because it's a big trade to first step in fixing the softens of line and they committed some pretty serious resources to get that trade done, right? Otherwise, we like I said, want to always as best I possibly can provide you guys really deep dive inside on the combine and the and at least players that performed well, players that didn't, who's matching up well.

3:04And I think like again, you get just a lot of buzz that comes out of it. And I think there's so much meat on the bone there, even as I think the combine is starting to be on shaky ground, I think there's just a lot to talk about. So we have a great guest to do. It's not a far drive, but it's pretty boring drive. That's for sure. Yesterday, well, I got really lucky. So my in-laws live in Indy.

6:08So I took both the kids with me. So I gave my wife to the house to her self all week and then dropped my kids off with grandma and grandpa. Went down for the week, picked them back up. Luckily, my daughter, now both ways and my son is popped rolled out in the car. That's the one time he gets the iPad as in the car. So he was a good drive both ways. Pretty easy. I love it, dude. It's like the old Astro Vans when you'd have a friend that had the TV. Oh, yeah. It's got to ride with him. It's got the TV in the car. It's unbelievable. Play like homeward bound on VHS. All right. So listen, two things before we start. The first is you write a yearly write up of what you're hearing in Indy. I'm going to hyperlink that in the description of this pod. Really good. All of it doesn't pertain in any way to Cleveland. It is more big or broad or draft perspective stuff, but share. Let's start to share with like what you do, how you get that query, where you go, how that works, broad perspective, and then anything that you think, not giving everything away because I want people to go there and read it, but just anything that you think maybe pertains to a little bit of the Browns. Yeah. So obviously, I have some scouts and agents that I've networked with throughout the years

7:12and that you build that roll with the X a little bit. That's how you kind of get locked in the industry a little bit is you get addicted to it and you build your own credentials and people talk to you. So that's a little bit of it. Honestly, it's also just really easy to hear things in Indy if you're listening in the right places. People are out late at night every night talking. So it is, and there are just so many of these even small network blogs that are popping up all over the place where these guys are plugged in. I could talk to two dudes who cover the titans for one of these other smaller sites and they know exactly what's going on. So it's easy if you just know the right people and where to put your ears. Last year, there were quite a few things, like today, Barron Hype and in a point for a Stround, I nailed the Justin DeFields negotiation down to the dollar amount last year, which was odd and fun. But some stuff like that, obviously, the James Peer stuff on a downer note is another thing that was in there too. But this year without giving out too much stuff, there's quite a bit of Ohio State information in here as well.

8:14Some free agency stuff. You know, one of these AFC North teams might be trying to trade their line back, or they just signed two years ago, but the regime changed their coming in through our good friends too. I guess they're both the East to the Steelers. The Steelers are kind of shopping that out there. Barron's fans shouldn't expect outpears to come to Cleveland or go anywhere other than Indianapolis, is something else out there as well. In terms of Ohio State, it's starting to really sound like both these linebackers are going to go top five. And I've heard the New Yorks for both of them. It's kind of the one thing I'll throw out there as well. I mean, Sunny Styles has been my top player on my board since November. I've just been trying to tell everybody, throw positional value out the window, there's not a hole in this guy's game. The athletic profile, the size profile, the tape, the eyes, the coverage. There's not a hole in the guy's game. How can this not be the best player in the class? That has been my argument since November. Teams seem like they still favor Reese, which is fine. He's my second best player in the

9:15class. But it does seem like both those guys are going to go top five. And you know, the one thing I was told is Sunny Styles isn't making it past the Giants. So New York teams for both of them could could happen. Cardinals are a wild card at three. His cardinals always tend to take, obviously, a regime change, different GNs and Kime, who was linebacker desperate that took Isaiah Simmons and Zave and Collins and back to back years. But nobody knows what the Cardinals are doing. So that's kind of the wild card team. But it does kind of seem like recent styles are both going to go top five. What's fascinating that this feels like a higher volume of the best players in the draft. This is not to say these are the best players in every draft, but this draft are non-premium position guys. And that is where the whole thing gets tricky. And let me do this. I want to talk about some of that. But like I wrote today, I feel like the combine is dying. Let me tell you my quick reasons why. And you probably talked to people there that felt the same way. There were three rascals on the whole weekend that were under five. There's three. We used to get all these guys.

10:21I mean, remember the kind of wrote about it in our newsletter today, the famous Jarvis Landry. Oh, yeah. Two six like all that stuff aside, right? I know COVID changed everything and changed how you could proceed players. You didn't have to see them do X, Y and Z. What feels to me like is going on is there's a much higher intelligence about what my guys are going to struggle with. And they're not testing those specific areas because it's like the old DK Metcalf theory, right? I think that's the perfect player who has unbelievable linear speed, vertical burst, tape is good. But you put them in the three cone of agility and people are like, Oh, God, wait a minute. Like this guy might not be that good. But when you think about like then it leads to the overthink. No, just send them on vertical routes all the time. It'll work out. He'll be pretty good. He'll be fine. Right? So like, I just, it's fascinating to me that, you know, the top guys not working out. That's not crazy. Guys leaning toward pro days. Again, not crazy. But it feels like the thing that's going to happen is the relative athletic scores. And like the next five years are going to be hard to even start to trust because guys are just going to test with a good at period. They're going to skip all the other stuff. And on top of all

11:25that, I think the trend with the Jags not sending anybody is like, it's, it's in a weird spot. I just think I feel like the way we love the calm mind because everybody went and everybody that mattered to the future, the NFL, they're testing everything and you, you, you wore your warts in front of everybody. Yeah. That's just not going to happen anymore. And I worry about an event, I know you love going to it. I have not yet been to it because of the time and calendar and my family life and stuff. But like, I just worry that this is like in five years. I know Indies contracts in 28, I think is the years the final year that this is going to be in a very different structure in five years. Yeah. I agree. I tend to agree. It's so weird too. Like even the spots that people go to at night are like, I don't recognize people in here anymore. But like, from a testing perspective, RAS as well, I love math bomb. I love the metric for a long time. But at some point, like, we need to start thresholding the, the dated data as well because like,

12:26you can make the argument like, are people actually getting faster and jumping higher at the combine? And that's why we're seeing like, this is the most athletic class ever or are just guys not running if they're not fast or exactly. But I think it's a little bit of both. And I think that guys are just like their exos has us down to a science. All these like these premium athletic training facilities have this down to a science to train these guys and get the ready. So like, why do I care what a guy ran in the 1980s compared to what a guy's going to run in 2026 because like, the training is different. Like, everything's different. So like, to make that metric, I think a little more comparable, I wish there was a way within his system. And maybe this is something that he's working on. I don't know to cap it off of like, just show me guys in the last 10 years. Like, just show me guys going back to 2016, 2017. And percentile it based off that because like the Stanford Titan is a good example of the Sam Roosh. If you look at Sam Roosh's RIS near perfect RIS, the guy ran a 4.7, which historically is like an 80th percentile 40R

13:28dash time. It's green on RIS. Like, that's that that looks great. You ran a 4.7. And like, today's NFL, like, can you just run a 4.39? And we're saying this guy who ran a 4.7 is an 80th percentile 40R. Like, that's where it starts to get a little into the weeds a little bit. Why I, yeah, it's it's tough to digest a little bit. Some of some of the weight stuff and moving targets that come with like, you can be a better athlete. You can run a little slower because you weigh a little more. And I understand that. But like, it's a piece of the pie. And I think that pie, that piece of the pie is less, it used to matter to everybody so much. And now I feel like how you just described it in a way we're laying it out. I was like, you know, kind of like the the Oprah Winfrey, like you get a nine and you get a nine and you get a nine. And it's like everybody's a good athlete. So this thing that used to give us a nice picture compared to their peers. And maybe that's the way you do it. Even like you said, tightening it to 10 years, you're tightening it to like five and compare them to their most recent peers. I don't know, I don't know. It's hard because also agents want to leave as much negative data off the table as

14:29possible. I'd rather them guess my guy's three cone drill than actually haven't be bad at it and put that on tape or put that on record. So tricky, very tricky stuff. And as you know, and I know there's more on field collection of actual gameplay data than ever before. Oh, yeah. A lot of smart companies are getting out in the forefront of that. I'm just very fascinated with where the combine, which is just like an old school NFL staple. You know, today I'm posting, you know, the story about it and it's a photo of Drew Brees back in his car. It's just funny. I think all these guys who've ever played the NFL go through the combine and then and then it's kind of done. But that's the way of the world. You adapt or die as they say. All right. Moving into Brown's world. Pick six clears itself up somewhat. I think like there's some guys who people would say are pick six material who may be moved back a little bit. Guys who are maybe perceived more as like in the teens or 20s as a 24 target move up a little bit. Give me two or three of those that you think either moved up or down or your

15:31experience this weekend or week and weekend. Give you some of that feeling. Yeah. The obvious one's been row for healing, which even like for like a month, maybe even month plus now it's like we got to stop mucking this guy 24. Yeah. You got to stop mucking this guy 24 because he's not going to be there. Yeah. If you want the guy, you might have to take him to six. You might be able to trade down if the chiefs want to come up for a receiver or a chiefs want to come up for whatever like an edge rusher or something like that for Ruben Bain. I don't know at front and like nine. You might be able to give it nine. You might be able to get him at 10 if you can get there. But I don't think bangles would trade you with the division like much deeper than that. Yeah. Probably not. So to me, if the Brown's one and row for healing, sit at six and take him at six. It's kind of the territory we're sitting at here with there with him. In terms of the wider receivers, which would be the other position to watch at six, I think. And like nobody dissuaded me. Like the car now take five three doesn't for five three three or four three doesn't

16:35dissuade me four five three. Sorry. That took me 18 years to get out. Because like I've had my notes in summer, like this is a four five athlete on tape. This is a four five athlete on tape. This is a four five athlete on tape. So why am I now going to ding him for being a four five athlete? Like it doesn't make sense to me. So I think he's very much still in play at six. He would be my favorite of the three to go at six. I like Tyson too. Some of those soft tissue injuries and the Cleveland climate kind of scare me maybe a little bit. But so like I like doors as soon as we can get him indoors would be the yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've always been a little bit lower on McKayleman. I know the production metric guys love McKayleman. It's a good reason. Just want to blend it off. There have been limited reps where he's seen press coverage in my opinion and limited reps in all those limited reps. Haven't been the most pretty reps that I've ever seen. So that's a little bit different than guys I've seen in recent years where they do play predominantly slot. But I see on their skillset. I see the play strike and I see how they do play when they are pressed. That's like that guy can play Z.

17:36I'm a little more iffy on that projection with McKayleman this year than I was a guy like Luther Bourbon last year if that makes sense. Did he hurt himself with how he presented himself? Or is that all a show thing that you don't think matters? You know a team to team. So I do know that there was a team that said yeah like he was really off putting in our formal. Another team said he was really great. Another team didn't formally interview him but set his character check on their like in their database is spectacular. So and even the team that said he was a little off putting said that his his like zoned IQ like his receiver IQ was really high. So yeah I don't know how much silverly impact and I don't think he's fallen too far. Let's play some light. Let's play some lightning around stuff. I want to kind of like you can elaborate on stuff you can kind of call BS whatever whatever where are you on and this is again this can be broad or tightened whatever where you on Spencer fan of seeing him up close he's I want to like him more than I can I feel I'm worried about him being a people mover and you need to move people in the NFL sometimes and I'm

18:40concerned should I not be concerned uh freaky actually you're great athlete and he should have tested like that coming in a 302 um so the the thing that Spencer Fano is like last year in 2024 they were a wide zone heavy team and he was he was moving people in wide zone like he was getting out he's taking people out of frame this year they which which is like to be fair and I'm I'm backing you up here because I saw two moving people running pushing lateral not even remotely as hard as a guy trying to anchor a three tech a shade or you know so there's like that's the stuff the NFL doesn't live exclusivity and you gotta be able to to to double and move and you know so I wanted to throw that to you yeah so at six I I would have big hesitations taking him at six with that size for sure and there's part of it things like man three years into this guy's career he's gonna start snapping the football just like he snapped it the session didn't he yeah yeah I'm concerned I mean are you on CC like I know they traded for Titus Howard and there's the

19:42projection is gonna play right tackle I find right but like um you know I mean maybe maybe CC mono is a guard the my and I say that Miami Miami kids so people that don't know that as frequently as named but like where where are you kind of sitting on that one at this point yeah I think anything did he no he didn't no I kind of uh Moe know is one of those players it's like this is a good tackle and a great guard in my opinion like watching the tape when he does have to set vertically or does have to try to match speed bend off the outside shoulder you can see some straining like he's very dense like very dense in his lower half not so much any length issues uh there like his at arms were 33 and a half or something like that so arm length is fine but more so like the foot speed when he is having to try to get depth in his set as as where I start to see see the technique kind of fall apart a little bit um and so that's where I also feel like yeah great guard um I just like every single one of these passengers Nina fell they can beat you in so many ways if you haven't start straining they're

20:43gonna come right back across your face and beat the crap out of you so like yeah it's tough I do kind of feel like the trade for Titus Howard is them saying like we didn't feel comfortable like neither of these guys are prototypical right tackles so let's just let's just move like avoid for the I guess Titus Howard's really not either but um let's let's take that out of the conversation and let's move on as kind of I felt about that trade I don't know if that's what their mindset was there but um if if I were taking a tackle six I would take Monroe for you like get the prototypical young long athletic left tackle I wonder I wondered there how much time Uncle knows about him I mean he he wasn't he was a recruited in his freshman years 2023 Todd's gone but he would have been a part of at least getting a chance to eval like you don't offer kids unless your O.C. season likes it you can get approval I am curious I mean nobody would have a better direct connection to who this kid was to all that information he would know really well but I think some people are like well he coached Nate and coach he got Oscar Delt as well but yeah he he definitely would have been involved if Todd I think Todd was a recruiting coach back some of

21:43those guys don't recruit and get to like Chip Kelly didn't recruit for high state but like at least you know you don't offer kids without your O.C. being like yeah I see the picture you know painted that for me um okay uh historically and this is more factor fiction sort of thing is it a really deep safety linebacker class like you feel like there's a bunch of testing numbers there that are good do you feel like it's pretty not not high end great maybe middle class good on those two positions yeah I do I do I think safety more so the linebacker some of the middle tier linebackers people are a lot higher on than I am like Andy Hill Jake Golday Jacob Rodriguez the Rodriguez hype is is out of hand uh he's gonna go way really takes man yeah um so like I think I'm lower on like the middle tier of the linebacker class but once you like I do like a fisher the Indiana kid he might be their day three so like yeah I do think so but more so the safety class man you could you could come away with two specialized safes in this class I feel like I can feel good about it um the middle of the this crop is really good like the VJ pain kid out of

22:46the Kansas state who was doing a lot of like slot man stuff at case data 6 3 195 um so I like him quite a bit Kamari Ramsey at USC had kind of a down year but they went through a scheme change where he played free safety in 24 and then he was playing nickel in 2025 he said at his podium like no I want to I want to play free so like you could find something like that AJ Halsey second third round pick I'm a big fan of the Arizona kid Genesis Smith um can't really tackle uh at all right now but what he can do is is run over the top and cover some some ground and I think he's one of the best uh true rangey coverage free safety in the class um and so I'm a big fan of this class as well trading Stukes the other Arizona kid who can play slot uh yeah I was going to spend most of his time in a slot honestly at the NFL level so yeah you could find a good good group out of this guy those two positions so let me let me throw some other hypotheticals at you um would you rather on this one here we go would you rather have Tate and Lomo

23:50or Freeling and we'll keep Concepcion and we'll sorry we'll keep but uh lemon and Tyson going in between there so we'll say Omar Cooper so you could have um the top it would be Tate and then you could have Lomo or whatever that could be Caden Proctor that whatever's in that next tier or you can have high end Freeling with somebody like yeah Omar Cooper in 24 yeah I the the Freeling stuff man is tough to pun on right now once you see Freeling out there like the tape over the back five is really good uh and there's like reason to believe that his best football is still ahead of him because he's only started like 19 games um I would probably go Freeling and Cooper uh you can't go wrong either way I don't think Lomo has a little more core deficiency that would scare me away I think uh and I think he's a little bit stiffer in the knees too than than Freeling um both are really good athletes though I think you would leave with

24:55an A draft in either of those directions but I probably would tend to go Freeling and then like Omar Cooper 24 yeah Cooper buzz is building um tackles at the 39th pick are there guys you like there feel safer about like the Blake Millers of the world because if you kind of go you know I understand what they gave Titus Howard but it's kind of the same thing as the Juwan Taylor thing unfolding in KC where you got him he's 30 do you want him to keep paying him at 32 33 it gets dicey so like I probably try you don't have to this draft certainly could the following draft the thing that is most interesting to me Cory is it like if you do take a tackle so you go tackle wide receiver tackle and you really like whoever at pick 39 Howard's guard experience does render him still useful instead of being displaced and non-useful so do you like any of those guys at 39 is the question yeah um so if we're talking second round tackles potentially not day one

25:59guys that's where you want to start getting to like talking about there's got to be athletic as well I think the two names that really stick out would be Blake Miller Strong's Bill Zones Blake Miller um and Max I hate it to wear from from Arizona State would be the two there which I hate it to work as building a first round pre draft process so there's a chance and Miller's athletic enough like there's a chance both those guys going the first round too so those would be the two if one of them fell at 39 like yeah I would still really consider that um beyond that I'm not quite sure where we're into like there are some other developmental guys deeper down the board that I'd feel okay with like third like 70 yeah like the crown over kid out of Texas saying him who's a converted tight enemy still pretty raw and got a blood kicked against Miami but like you can see you can squint you can see the developmental track Diego pounds at Ole Miss kind of the same way there are some more athletic swing tackle options I think later down the forward on like fourth third fourth round range there I do I do get curious about that being a plan that kind

27:02of like one tackle between the first two picks and then being very interesting one of those two you talked about or if somebody falls out of the first round and you know you got the idea maybe moving around to go finagle that and you know I just I understand the angle you take on trading in the way that they traded here and getting somebody to make you feel like you have something but you always want to feel like you're taking tackles and developing that's the only pathway to healthy long term NFL offense it just is um you talk DBs a little bit there so I won't ask any more about those guys is that is sick because personally I'm studying Rootner what he did in Atlanta and the way they played coverage more open coverage getting into more quarters getting more diverse stuff more read stuff well they had Jesse Bates and they had Xavier Watts who were two pretty good safeties yeah and it's a little different here with Hickman and Delta who have not done that traditionally so I'm very curious I think I'm asked I'm leading you into an answer here but I'm like is is safety the position they could draft earlier than we think like of all those

28:04positions that we kind of gloss over you want to think they're good we're going offense they're going offense they're going offense it feels like 39 if the right safety is sitting there they could be very into that idea I think they could as well um the other issue I mean we're to the point now we're talking about like 33 guys going in the top 32 but like there's a lot of steam building for like Dylan Thiniman and he made it but Neil Warren to also go in the first round right right you might get three safeties in the first round this year as well um the value at 39 from my perspective on my board Genesis Smith would be good there uh if they value do value that true range over the top stuff although there's a lot of really good like quarters match stuff on Genesis Smith's tape too so that could be a potential fit uh again VJ pain I think 70-ish you could you could really talk me into VJ pain around like 70107 somewhere around there as well um but yeah I do think safety is firmly firmly on the board early but last is also one of the small positions you

29:04can pay for in free agents yeah true very true especially if they answer those questions before we get there two questions on the way out the door first is the of the interior guys and then I personally think they could go interior 39 or 70 and I guess they could also go like what is it 104 they have I can't totally remember the specific number are there guy is there a guy or two you love in that group that range that's a wide range so maybe think 3970 that you're like man I would love them to get him somehow so the a-n-m guard chase pizantis has been one of my favorite players all year long um Texas A&M he's they're they're starting left guard um yeah good player some of the best past protection you'll see some of the best hands you'll see uh in past protection does get it out a little bit over his waist in the run game a little bit but um Dane was saying on the athletic football show we're building to be one of those those the athletic shows um that Texas A&M's offensive strength and strength and conditioning coaches said that chase pizantis is also the strongest player that he's ever coached um so pretty notable there as well but chase
