WWE's corporate greed. A top AW star is nearing their in-ring return after a long absence. A couple of AW stars are pooling double duty at revolution. An update on plans for Tiffany Stratton and Julia at WrestleMania 42. I'm Adam Wilbon. I'm Andy H. Murray, the H stands for How Many Dogs Does It Take To Change A Lightbulb? How many? Zero. They're dogs. Good point. And this is the news. How could a dog up a ladder? What are you thinking? You cycle path. I can't believe you pinched that. Anyway, I can't believe we're starting a video talking about Jim Cornett, but I love a Jim Cornett, man. He's gone off on one on WWE ticket prices, and he's absolutely correct. So yeah, you know, not often the guy who's opinions on wrestling, I align with a lot of the time. However, it's kind of hard to find anyone on the planet, apart from WWE employees who will tell you that paying 700 pounds for a crap seat is a good thing. Yes. So, hey, look, here we go. So it's Jim, and obviously Brian Last, and they've been, they've used this example
of like, one of Jim's friends went to a WWE show recently, they sat in the second row and they couldn't see anything, basically. So basically, Jim said, if it's $700 for this seat, the person couldn't see, they attended the show, it was a Smackdown in Louisville. Louisville? Louisville. Louisville in February, him and his son, $700 each, and they said that it was like being in the dry, the front roll of a dry proof beater, like that, basically, they said they couldn't see the big screens, they hung above, so you can kind of see that as well. And they were far too much to the side to get a view of the entrance screen either, when people stood up doing entrances, this poor chap's son couldn't see it, but yeah, he put this into a bit of historical context and said, for $250 back in the day, you could sit on the front row of every single one of 52 yearly events at the Louisville Gardens, where as kids, you could see that, you were so close you could get blood on you, I don't
know if I want that personally, I'd probably pay less for that. It'll keep sake for the fan, yeah, I'm good on that, to be honest, but yeah, just talking about how now it's like much more expensive and all of this stuff, inflation, obviously, kind of factors into that, but obviously, WWE's price flation has been insane over the past couple of years, he kept going as he tends to do, saying there's not a lot of people that can spend that much money, just every goddamn old time he continues, and he said the prices are only going in one direction, basically, it's not going to be the same amount of money it's going to go up, there's been no signs of ticket prices going down, well, a little bit further, they're going to start doing shows for the 500 richest fans and you've got it in a 20,000 seat or building, my god, you'd have to turn to crime if it got any more expensive, I think potentially the company selling tickets has turned to crime because this is the, this is effing highway robbery, I'll tell you what, like, well, I, you know,
if me and Jim sat and had a conversation about modern wrestling, we'd agree on zero things, he does have a turn of phrase sometimes, and he kind of acknowledged that WWE was making massive revenue, obviously, but he thinks the policy has a shelf life, he said, I'm not saying, oh my god, WWE, they're going to go out of business, they're making so much money but they're burning out their fan base in every conceivable way, so there you go, hey, listen, something that doesn't cost a lot of money is not in VPN right now, our wonderful partners are sponsors for this video, guys, you're online, it's big 26, you need to stay safe, you need to protect yourself before someone else wrecks yourself, digitally, 54% off right now, if you click the link in the description or in the pinned comment or the QR code on your screen right now, you're looking at like two pound 50 a month if you're in the UK, not only are you maximizing your security and safeguarding your online presence, you are also giving yourself the ability to watch your content wherever you are in the world, sign up today, don't delay, I don't have another rhyme for this, so tell me what
you think about Dickes? Yeah, Jim Cronk is absolutely spot on, of course, I'm going to say, Jim Cronkett round is a real guilty pleasure of mine, I think barely a week goes by where I don't watch one of those compilations where he's shooting on Vince Russo, for example, so I'll gladly listen to him shooting on Vince Russo, I've been using on wrestling our divisive to say the least, but he's hitting the nail on the head here, it's on the one hand it's completely understandable, i.e. W.P. wants to print money and TKO, even made Vince McMahon look like a nice guy, they were like, he was looking out for families, what the hell's he thinking? We're going to charge people double for everything and they're a business, this is capitalism, it's an unfortunate reality of the world that we live in, doesn't mean we have to see it and like it, we'll agree with it or support it or think it's anywhere near what they should be doing, because like you say, they are making more money than they've ever made regardless, they could charge 1990s prices for tickets and still be making more money than they've
ever made through TV deals and sponsorships, they've got stuff they print on the ring and stuff like that, probably covers most people's ticket revenue and stuff like that, but yeah, I think it's shocking, I remember when they came to town recently for just like the New Castle House show in Hamflit took his kids and like, it was a big thing, it's a lovely, you know, cool thing that he's such a big WWE fan, he gets to take his kids who've become WWE fans since they, I think watched the rumble last year, but it was like, this is kind of it, because it had to be like the big Christmas present, because it's not like, oh, I think WWE's in town should pop over, you have to budge it for that, probably for months and advance, then don't even think about WrestleMania, like, oh gosh, if we weren't very, very lucky and thanks everyone as always for your support for allowing us to be treated in going to WrestleMania to cover it, like if you and I sat down and said, let's just go to WrestleMania, right? Disregarding flights and stuff like that, that would have to
be the only big thing that I do this year. Yeah, it would be a big trip for sure, I would never appear these places for WrestleMania, and like we'll probably be in the building we're not paying for them, fortunately, we've got the, you know, it's a company, it's a company trip, but I would never pay like $700 to go to a wrestling show, it's like, nah man, nah man, and we're, me and Nicholas are going to have sat there for night too, which wasn't a great night to be perfectly on this last year, but it's, you know, you're in Las Vegas right here, but like where we were sat, we were like up behind, right at the top, getting covered in like pyro basically, and I don't know how much those tickets would have cost, but I certainly wouldn't have felt like I've got my money's worth, and yeah, from my story, $700 each sitting in the second room. So yeah, yes, it's fun, you get to be close to the action, but if half the time you're going on and I was going on, it's pointless. If I had a budget and the rest of my tickets broke my budget, what I would do is I would just go and watch a bunch of indie shows, you'd probably go like 20 shows for the cast, they'll take you to a tent, and hey, guess what,
you might find your new favourite thing if you do that, you also might make some new friends, and a new sense of community, you know, DIY, grassroots movements are great for that. The other part of me that really gets annoyed about all this is, yeah, you're charging these exorbitant prices. I'd be less annoyed, I'd still be annoyed, but I'd be less annoyed if you then said, well, you know, if it's out of your price range, that's fine, you know, at least you can be in town for the vibes of WrestleMania. There's stopping people from watching WrestleMania. Yeah, exactly. The like watch parties are being killed off in Vegas. I might have hauled an illicit watch party somewhere. It's outrageous. That's how we spend more money on this trip, boy. How much money do they need? Yeah, we're not going to do that, obviously. That would be stupid. But yeah, it's crazy. Like, if you are coming to Vegas for the vibes and you want to come something that is to value for money, for free shows. Yeah, come us somewhere in a weekend, what culture.com for such a life. I've actually got a really funny, non-problematic because Jim said some pretty horrible things. I've got a really funny Jim Cornett story that I might
tell at the live show. Oh, it's really good. You've heard it actually, but yeah, it's great. I'm looking forward to hearing it again. But yeah, outrageous, all this. Anyway, let's talk about AEW instead and a star who's been away for a long old time. Look, set a four-ton-in-ring return. Very exciting news this and friend of the show. Yeah, right, a friend of me of the show. It's Will Osprey. He is inching closer to a return. Fipe will select. You're his enemy. I'm his best friend. No, I don't know. Yeah, I mean, it's nemesis if I am. Fipe will select reporting that Osprey was at Dynamite shows in order to stop working towards a clearance to the ring after being sideline, obviously, with that horrific neck injury. And since then, obviously, AEW has been airing some pipe videos occasionally on Dynamite. Well, Fipe will reach out for an update on Osprey. And they said that they've been working out in the ring ahead of shows. It's looking very promising for him to return to form as it relates to the level he was competing at before. And a possible spring return, which we are technically
in right now, I suppose, could well be on the cards. There is a hope, obviously, that he will factor into the show in London for all in the summer. I think that's what everyone had their fingers crossed for, but with these are the thing with neck injuries. You never really know, you know, it's a big thing for someone, especially considering his in-ring style to go through, to have such severe neck injury and neck surgery and what have you put in my boning hatred. Fued with him to one side, great news to hear that will Osprey get in close to an in-ring return. TV's missed him for sure. And neck injuries are always tricky because they can be, they can be, like obviously in some cases, they can be career ending, in some cases, they can be career shortening, in some cases, they can be style changing, in some cases, you might make a full recovery and just be able to do what you would do before, which is obviously the best case scenario. TV's missed him a lot. I think he's one of the strongest baby face presences in the company. I think he's like such an earnest promo and like character as well as being the cutting edge wrestler of our generation. So yeah, TV's really missed him. And I can,
be more excited for a wrestler, a wrestler maniac, a G-Wiz, and all in main event that, than MJF versus Will Osprey, if that's the bad. I think like, we've already seen what that looks like. Exactly. And there's incredible. Let's, let's run it back, run it back, but for the big onion, in the big main event. I think one good thing that Tony Cannon AW do really well is like rewarding hometown crowds or home country crowds or whatever, whatever. So I think all the British people, she'd win all the belts in all in. Oh, nothing should win it all. To be honest, obviously. Yeah, I mean, he's wrestling your best friend obviously. Yeah, I was a best friend to win. And if it wasn't my best friend, I won, Will Osprey to win any. Yeah, I won the Brits on top, but it would be chokes on his Nando's person. We had a Nando's at the weekend, it was great. What, how, how spicy you have it? I'm a medium boy. Yeah, medium to me. Medium to me is like the perfect balance if you in heat and taste. It's like, yeah, it's good, it's good stuff. I like a bit of the old paradise. The paradise is gangster. I mean, people who have the extra hot air, what are you doing? Show me your tongue. Like, what does it look like? I bet it's like a bit of pepperami.
Yeah. Yeah. Weird. It's like, I think I'd, I think I'd black it. If I was it, we were never going to be on it, but if we were ever on hot ones, I would pass out. It's just looking at the wings. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like, this is debon. No, thank you. Yeah. Yeah. No. I'm good. I'm good on debon and Sean, bald king, by the way. Have you ever seen the Matthew McCorn here hot ones? Okay, it's the best video ever. If you've not seen that, find it after this one. Please, oh my god. There's a Maya Rudolph one that I really like as well. I think it was. I've not seen that. I just swear to him. I like the Jake Jones, Jake Jones hole here is a good one too. Interstellar were the infamous meme from that. That'd be me. Fantastic. Steve Austin, obviously. Sasha. Sasha. I should have gone to white caps. Really? You know what I'm saying? I'm going to do Boston. Yeah. Yeah. It's just favorite restaurant. Right. We're going to learn you. Yeah. Yeah. In a little chat, as always, to Stone Cold ET. It's a little mean. We need to get like a tribute to Stone Cold ET. We do. We do. How do we do that, the city? It can just be an ET mask, can it? No, I think we should get a Stone Cold Steve Austin action figure, an ET action figure,
snap the head off by for them and then, perfect. Let's do it. We're going to make it so. What's up? It's Sean Linda from Two Black Guys, A Good Credit. So the people I'm talking about are Will and I and Gale and Lena Cross. The rest of each other in two singles matches, that's incorrect. But last night on Dynamite, obviously the Babes of Wrath have had beef with Penelope Ford, Megan Bain, and now Lena Cross is new to AEW. They've bought a couple of times for the tag titles. The last occasion was the unfortunate match for Penelope. Got injured. So it's quite an actual thing to do for Lena, the new member of that group, to step into the void. Well, Penelope's away. So last night on Dynamite, we got a TBS title match between Willow and Persephone, one of my favorite young wrestlers in the world. She's tremendous. They're a very, very good match, and Willow successfully defended the TBS title against Persephone. Afterwards, Willow was like, I'm challenging you for both the belts. You go very giddy. You go very happy. Oh, I'm not sure she'll be so happy after the show.
I'm not going to say. Lena Cross is really tall. This is going to be hard. But basically, what they're doing is that we're getting the TBS title, and it's a one-on-one between Willow and Lena Cross on the pre-show, the zero-hour, the buy-in that... Whatever you call it. I always forget. Brain don't work. And then we're getting Harley and Willow versus Megan Bane and Lena Cross. For the tag titles on the main card, I like this a lot because it adds more air of unpredictability to the matches. Yeah. You can, believably, have Willow go over Lena, for example, in the first match, in the singles match, but then she's so tired and worn out for the second match that it may be costing the titles. It's good stuff, and it adds an extra layer of narrative tension to these matches. Yeah. I think the titles are going to switch hands. Okay. Step on our toes. We've been doing a big revolution preview recording later on today. That's going to be out on the road to this weekend's pay-per-view, of course. But, yeah, I think they're probably just getting back to what the original plan was.
I sense with the base of rough dropping those tag titles to whatever version of Megabad or whatever we're calling them nowadays. I get what's seen to be known before. Of course, it is. So, yeah, it's an exciting match. Another women's match out to the pay-per-view. Always a good thing, though, in my opinion. I agree. You've got a couple. I sort of don't really count the zero out because it's just all part of this big mess. Don't eat any more matches now, though. Don't eat. Are you going to get a lean 15 by the weekend? I don't know how many have got now, like, 10-11 made between the three. I show. So, I don't mind, man. I'm here for it. Give me, give me, give me. I will say it's going to be a bit of a challenge on my- Oh, no, the British guys are mourning about having to watch wrestling again. But it will be a mess because me and him is going to have to wake up at four to watch every day. Yeah, it's going to be challenging morning, for sure. But look, if that is the biggest challenge I face in my professional life, I've done okay, you know. Call us heroes, guys. Yeah. Don't send us treats honestly. The shining armor that someone sent me last time was just a little bit too much, really.
But look, I like the- The simple thank you, God, I'm so fast. Exactly. Lena Cross and Megan Bane, they're a scary- Oh, boy. They had a really good match with the talks- No, not toxic love bombs, that'd be tecla somehow. Yes. The timeless love bombs on Collision last week, and it was really fun. So, I'm looking forward to this. Megan had an absolute monster match with Olympia and CMLL last week. Did she? So, it was the biggest, the largest. Yeah. It was tremendous. So, I like all these people, and let's go. Double duty. Come on. Let's go. Speaking of female wrestlers, we like Tiffany Stratton. And Julia loads of talk about what's happening with them around WrestleMania and a great report here from a body slam with source indicating to them that there is a plan for the Women's United States Championship. It's Julia Holds, of course. To be defended at WrestleMania, that was the plan way back in February. And yeah, another source is indicated at that match. It is going to be Julia versus Tiffany Stratton. The back in January, body slam talked about how Tiffany was going to be factored
into WrestleMania plans ahead of her big return. Obviously, Rommel and what have you. I think in terms of being out of the world title matches, this is a good place for Tiffany to fit. I think these two could work really well. I read a rumor, could be a load of bollocks online, that the original plan might have been a triple threat involving Jordan Grace, but I know Jordan's got some sort of foot in there. So, maybe that's been factored into it. I've had a theory on the SmackDown preview podcast for quite some time that I think that match was going to happen Tiffany versus Julia. And I think Keanu James is going to switch sides. Yeah, I think that's a good pairing. I feel like Tiffany and Keanu fit really well together. And also, I would use this as an opportunity to, if you're going to have Julia Luz, which I probably would. I would move her to Raw. Just to change it up there. Change it up. And also, there's some real ass kickers that she could have some real fierce matches with on Raw. Baby face? Yeah, why not? Let's go. But like, I would just love to see her going up against like Lyra or heel or whoever.
The thing about Julia is that she works best in that physical stiff, nasty setting. She had a rough match with Rear Raw, but I think she did. She had a rough, and rough is a compliment. She also had a rough again compliment match with Jordan Grace in NXT last year that I loved. Maybe went insane on each other. So she works better with that style of wrestler. I feel like it's a better fit because there's more of that on Raw currently than there is on SmackDown. I love Julia. I'm a big Julia Mark. I think she's awesome. I think she's got the vibe. She's got the ass kick in style. It's just, it's WWE. Sometimes that style doesn't always work in this kind of environment. It's just a different flavor of wrestling. And yeah, so I don't mind Tiffany going over and I like your booking for it. I'm kind of more and more inclined to get on ball with a lot of Cody was saying recently that we might have a bit of a sleeper, hit WrestleMania on our cards now. I know he's all coming together rather late, but you look at the matches on this card and some of them look unbelievable.
Like Tiffany Stratton and Julia could whip against. Yeah, Tiffany has no problem kicking that ass. Yeah, we'll see. I think the bet was that he said it could be the best in Ring Shoe of all time. I calm down on that. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know about that one code, man. So many 40s as well. Roblox into the line is here. December to December is here for a reason that code. So maybe, maybe pump the brakes a little bit. However, I think it is another year where actually the list of matches is better than the build. Yeah. So, fine. Like Roman Punks build has been sure. Don't bring me good in my opinion. Everything else just kind of comes together rather late. But like, this Drew McIntyre versus Jacob Fatou probably going to be confirmed on SmackDown one with a shoe. You'd imagine they'll just kind of copy the blueprint for the pre-smatch last year, which was it, which was sick. Works for me. Yeah, sick. Still holding out that candle. I know that you had the thing on SmackDown last week with Charlotte and Alexa.
I think the women deserve a big, multi-woman forever really ladder match for the women's tag titles. Because you've got so many teams you could put in there and get them on that card. Oh, I knew your sky singles match. Yes, I'm greedy. I want you to just do your versus Asuka. You haven't probably closed that chapter yet. Why not? Kyrie saying special guest referee. Boom. There you go. Why not? Asuka's the yellow. It's called a big wall. Yeah. Ah! Kyrie! Yeah. Is she a bully? Is she a real bully Asuka? Yeah. She will mean to Kyrie soon. But Kyrie, she'll miss you. She will miss you. She will miss you. I love a good mix in. Shh. I won't miss you. That's unhygienic. No. It is unhygienic, isn't it? Yeah. It kind of held back on that post pandemic, didn't I? It was the first mister. Was it... Was it mooter? Er... I think it was Mr. Men. So I missed a happy... Mr. Miss. Mr. Tickle. Mr. Miss... Mr. Missle. Mr... Mr. Mr. Mr... What's the guy through the house? Mr. Fussi. Mr. Ben. Mr. That one? That one. Mr. Dead from Harry M. Field. There you go. Oh, Mr. Ed though. This has gone a tell.
Sorry. And back, hasn't it? Gone. Have a nice... Have a nice one. I tell you what, you know. You know, you want to take the piss out of us. Well, we get the chance to take the piss out of you sometimes. Why don't we show them what we're up to, what we're up to, what we're up to, what we're up to. We've been roasting your fantasy-booking chief, and we are going to roast it again. Hope you like it. Yeah. Hope you like being cooked. Bye. Hi, this is Pablo Torei from Pablo Torei finds out.
