Hello there my vettigood friends, on today's wrestling news, the real reason Road Dog just quit WWE. Monday Night Raw has a new lead writer. We have some news on maybe even more changes coming to WWE backstage. And just the dead man being the dead man. I'm Andy H. Murray, the H stands for Hackensmith. Ooh, and this is the news. Shout out to Big George. Let's talk about Road Dog. Yes. The big story breaking last night was that this gentleman, Brian James, Road Dog, Road Dog Jesse James. What was he, B.J. James, B.G. James? Yeah, B.G. James. At all kinds of names over the years, you know him mostly his Road Dog. He's been a of the Voodoo Kid Mafia. Yeah, that's right. Him and Kip James brother. He has been a figure creatively very high up in WWE over the years. He's gone. He is left. He is quite WWE,

3:07sensationally. Report first came through from BodySlam.net and then PW Insider tried to smite them about five minutes later. But yeah, BodySlam.net were the first to break it saying that he was gone. He's gone from WWE. He has departed as though he had previously been the lead writer on SmackDown. Yeah. No longer there. PW Insider added that he'd made the decision to leave his position. So he was, you know, he's been in and out of WWE in these positions for years and years and years. At one point he was in the 2010s. He was also the head writer of SmackDown. He left that role in 2019 and then he stayed with WWE until like 2022 when he left again behind the scenes kind of capacity. He was then brought back when Triple H became head of creative because of their boys and all that stuff. Well, they were thought they were boys but WWE Unreal was quite interesting. Yeah. Now as well PW Insider have added to all this with another report stating that James or Road Dog informed WWE that he was resigning from his position

4:10and he openly expressed his unhappiness. He's still under WWE Legends contract which means he might show up once in a blue moon. Yeah. But there's another bit of additional detailing here from Corey Hayes from BodySlam who originally reported this of course. I'll just read you the tweet. Road Dog was upset with his diminishing role in creative in recent months and decided to walk away today. One person I've spoken to stated that it seemed like it was almost inevitable that Road Dog was on the way out. So there you go. Ryan Ward I believe is the new head writer on SmackDown. I might be wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong comments. That's right. Yeah. So there happens some switchups lately. Not really something I expected to be reporting this morning. No and he's always been sort of a controversial name hasn't he? I'll be honest we're not in those meetings. We don't know what is his being involved and you can only take on real to a certain extent. There's a case study of what actually happens backstage. Didn't really help that when he

5:11kind of joined the creative team it took a dip. Bad time. Yeah. Yeah. But again that could be completely right. Look, rather than sort of you know argue ask people already have online about his usage within WWE creative. I'll simply say this. I just think generally if you're in a sort of creative space freshening up people and ideas every now and again can't do much harm. I'm not at the end of the day if he felt like I'm not even really being missed to anyway. Fair play too if you're just going see you later. Yeah it's an interesting one to think of. So like subjectively I've never enjoyed his creative particularly. It's just not it's not my flavour of wrestling. I find it yeah. I think in general wrestling needs fewer of these attitude earheads. It's the attitude ear it was immensely successful. It was also a product of its time. Yes. You know where we were 25 years removed from this. 26 years removed from this now. And I think that one of the great failures of wrestling creative teams over the years is relying on those same old heads over and over and over and over. I think we need fresh people.

6:12I think we need fresh ideas. I think we need new voices. They have to come from people who understand wrestling. Yeah. I didn't like I didn't like the hero of WWE creative where everyone was a reality TV writer who didn't know a headlock from a hammerweight. You need a mix bag don't you? Yeah. People say like no we did that 20 years ago and it didn't work then but also if you ever tried this and I will say it's quite downing that that one of the last things we saw from Rodog in terms of footage was that seen on WWE Unreal where I think he was talking about Chelsea Green. He was like ah is she she win the US title and Triple H went out and then and then what and he was like I don't know. Well I've got to follow to that. What do you mean that's that's should all of us give us fantasy book in our own head. Yeah. We don't just go that'd be nice and then we don't be wrestling. I think it's interesting there's nothing in these reports about Triple H's reaction. Yeah. Like what I mean did he push for this? Did he is he annoyed at this? Is it you know it was he taking it back by it? I'd like to learn more about that. If we had literally any sources we would like to write ourselves. But yeah it's it's I don't know man like

7:16creative has been been a bit better this year and if it means like if it means certain people moving on and stuff I'm not advocating for people who lose their jobs or whatever. But I imagine some of that Rodogs probably done all right over the years. Yeah. Stickies okay. Yeah. So I'm never a never afraid of a little bit of a shake off. And I think just generally again pure speculation on my behalf because we don't know really what's going on behind the scenes. I do think sometimes it's better to not have your mates in creative positions or in sort of positions working alongside you because yes they might feel more confident to challenge you because they you may and you've got a good relationship already but also at the same time you might feel less inclined to say that's a bad idea. Exactly. So let's know this is one of the biggest shows that wrestling has. Yeah. We can smack down. Yeah. It's the second biggest show in the world. We title on the line tonight. Yeah there's that battle between them and gun smoke if you remember back in the day. I think he standards pizza.
