Time for clippings who are the MASS Sport and Maddie Johnson Cooper. Cronk was speaking about the NRL playoffs yesterday and they talked about what the keys were for. The Warriors Dolphins matchup we had Tony Edo on earlier in the week. He said it's the best pack in the world against the best backline from the Dolphins. Ooh, best backline. Probably definitely the most dangerous backline. Yeah, this is what Cronk and John's thought about that. The other bad Dolphins is these individuals that have played, you know, the younger players have had a taste of big game football, max playthin particular.
But there's not a lot of final experience. Well, Fisher Harris will be captain of the year and Aaron Clark will be lock of the year. I just feel these guys, there's a lot more other guys that do a lot more highlight things. But I feel the key to this game is the Warriors, it's their start and it comes down to their spiritual leaders. Whereas on the other side of the Dolphins, I just think they're, they get confidence from their attack, right? So I think Cartoe, Farmworth, Cabo, you know, the hammer. They can't let 20 minutes go without having to run or done something. It's interesting. They need to, you know, break a tackle, get a line break, start, you know, getting their feel into this game. That's where the difference makers are. They talk about fish and Aaron Clark for the Warriors and they talk about the hammer and Cabo and Cartoe for the Dolphins. Yeah, and there's clear opportunities with the Warriors, right? And Andrew Eubster actually addressed this with Meteor on Tuesday that he believes the, the fix for their defensive issues. I think they considered 88 points in the last three games. The, the fix is actually really the wood he used was simple, but it's now a matter of executing that.
And he said, the easy way up from the outside is looking at it and going, wing pushed in has felt. And it's actually not that it's a domino effect of, you know, from the Ruck to the middle man to the center to the wing. And how that then one mistake or one defensive read or one decision by one of those players then affects everybody else. And so you would think the Dolphins are going to go and try and push that wide, force those, force the Warriors into those decisions and try and exploit the outside with those dangerous players that they have. Now Brian has been talking all week about our edge defense with the Warriors edge defense. And it's, you climb your a paramedic and you keep saying hour and we. Yeah, yeah, so it's getting brainwashed. But you know, Lekha, Halasima is back this week. I wonder whether or not we see a bit of a shuffle from Webby and Kurt Kapelins upstarting for Leottoa on the other side to shore up the edge D. Yeah, I mean, you love a conspiracy theory.
It's not a conspiracy theory. They've done it before and he is a better defender right than Ali Leottoa. You do lose a little bit on attack, but if that's what you worried about, considering 88 points three times. Sure, same play them on the other sides. Yeah, especially having chance on that edge now or wanting something we don't like being called edge that wing that side perhaps presents defensive opportunities. He's a bigger body as well, chance. And he's obviously a fallback by trade. So his defensive reads can to be pretty fantastic. Yeah, I, you would like to think that given their professional rugby league players and they have a very smart group of coaches that they can solve these issues on the outside. But then it's a matter of doing it in the moment. Yeah, you would like to think so. Here's who Maddie Johns and Cooper Cronk think are going to win the Warriors Dolphins matchup. I think the Warriors. I just feel fish Harris is the guy like I feel like they haven't.
He's the only one that's truly done one multiple comps, experience what this is all about and they will be going fish. What do we do? Yeah, he will be going. This is what we do follow me. Yeah, I feel like he is the key to it all. Both times they play this year and went down to the wire. They were two points split. Good games. It's going to be, it's going to be, it's going to be tied. Look, I'll lean to the Warriors, but I make, geez, I'll reckon the Dolphins. Yeah, push them a long way. Yeah, I give them a big shout. Give them a big shout. What are you reckon, Chappie? Brian's theory is the history between the Warriors Dolphins is win one, lose one, win one, lose one, win one, lose one. The Dolphins won the last one to the Warriors win this one. The Dolphins is $55 in the market, the Wars. Dolphins is $2.45, the line's $4.5. I might be showing my hand early for tomorrow, but someone say try a bet. Try a bet. Yeah, take the Dolphins to cover that. He'll cover the $4.5 maybe. Yeah, we'll just either team by a try. Yeah, I think it's certainly in tie-sack.
This is by far game of the round. Yeah, and it's going to be, from a Warriors perspective, you would hope enjoyable, but from a casual perspective, it's going to be an entertaining game. No, then it's going to be a try-fest, for the honest. Yeah, look forward to that. Finally, Kubikrong did talk about how he thinks the Dolphins can engineer a win. They have the ability to go over there and just be cocooned and get it done. If they get off to a really good start, far more takes off, beats a couple of tackles. Kartels, wheelin and dealin', hammer is moving with five carries early on. I think they do have the ability to cause the upset of Round 1. There you go, they have the ability to cause the upset around one according to Kubikrong, which I don't mind. I think that would be a massive, not a massive upset, but I think it would throw the cat amongst the pigeon. Be interested in see how the Warriors would bounce back from that if they had to go to play next week. You say you think it's going to be a try-fest? Yeah. How's this paying $8, betcha boost? Camper era.
Yeah. I like that. I do like that. Mike Blair out of the Orbex camps also been talking. One of the things I found interesting about what Mike Blair had to say, there was a question about how much freedom the players are given in the game plan for the Orbex. It's always really been the case, right from the first test much against France. We talk a lot about collaboration, discussion to try and get to an end point. Obviously there are things as coach, I'll drive and I'm really keen on, but we've got brilliant intellect within the team, within the backs, within the forwards. So for me, not to use that intel would be naive. There's some framework that we've got, but there's definitely freedom within that. Yeah, freedom for the players to get involved in the game plan. I mean, that's the thing, right? As coaches, you've got to have the players prepared for eventualities that happen on the field.
You've got to have players that can then implement those changes on the field, on the flyers, the game progresses. Yeah. Losing Arty, though, was that real impact moment, wasn't it? They kind of just... You lose that guy that just gives you so many things to do. So many different skill sets, whether that's ball carrying, breakdown, clean out, defense, marshalling of the troops. They just looked a little bit lost when he went off. Who captains the All Blacks this week? Jordy Barrett. Jordy Barrett, who do you think captains the All Blacks this week? Let us know, double eight, double three. We're 12 away from 11 and those are your news clippings with Massport. We'll get to some of your texts after this.
