The studio is working on the third Monsters, Incorporated Movie, according to the Wall Street Journal. This marks the first theatrical sequel in the main storyline for the popular franchise. In other developments, Pixar is creating its first musical, directed by Domi Shii, who helmed turning red and is now co-directing Elio. The report also confirms, Incredibles 3 will arrive in theaters in 2028, with a sequel to Coco planned for 2029. The original Monsters, Incorporated from 2001, remains one of Pixar's biggest hits. It starred John Goodman as Sully and Billy Crystal as Mike, grossing $579 million worldwide and earning Oscar nods, including a win for Best Original Song.
