On March 4th, a new mom and manchester is haunted by guilt after her newborn endured months of pain from baby formulas later recalled for toxins. Twenty-four-year-old Catherine Alexander fed her premature baby boy Arlo Kau and gait first infant milk right after his birth in November, trusting the brand from her first child. Arlo soon started projectile vomiting and screaming and agony, landing him in the hospital for five days on oxygen and a feeding tube. Doctors treated him for bacterial infection, but symptoms persisted even after switching to SMA, little steps, and then after milk first infant formula. With daily vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation dragging on for three months, Catherine was devastated to learn in March that all three formulas matched, recalled batches potentially tainted with serolide, a toxin linked to, nausea, vomiting, and cramps. She now believes the milk caused the infection and her baby suffering. According to a different brand, made Arlo's issues disappear overnight.

The food standards agency warns parents who use those batches to call their GP or NHS 111 right away. Manufacturers Nestle for SMA and Danone for Kau and gait and aptamil are testing affected products while Catherine pushes for compensation to help. Families like hers move forward.
