2:01season that a career step down which that that was dowry shocked me I was like all this is already a win like I figured we were still kind of in the playoff mix you kind of thought that we're not gonna make it but we were still there but we were steps down and that was a total shock to me I was like okay yeah this okay things actually might change and then seasons over the dominoes are falling with Daniels you know all the bad contracts that we have on the team and you know sort of doing things the right way so I wasn't like I mean the dolphins have been bad for how long well not bad but like just we haven't many graces I have in my beard yeah and you know new general magic considered building you would have think Ross would do something I feel like he'd even fired here he stepped down right it was inevitable so I think that was the yeah we could recall that so not that thing that was the biggest shock was

3:03the general manager you know that once a manager steps down you know everything will fall into order we got a new you know a new role coming into the building and you know everything falls starts to fall and align with what he wants to do you coach you players new culture or that you know all that big shock to me was that they ate that too a money I was not expecting them to eat that too a money they ate it all up that's how bad they did that new stuff I would I would that chunk of money that they're eating yeah wild over the next two years and I wasn't shocked about it because not even if Greer would have been fired let go step down I think that they were gonna they knew they finally accepted the fact this guy's not it not most of us a good majority of us you know he wasn't it for quite a while right I and I remember Danny I think one of our last shows before the sabbatical for the past two seasons I said you you

4:04let him play on that on that final year before you re up them because you're gonna see I was a heavy conversation we had a few years from now we're gonna be put in a bad position and long behold here we are so we're eating 99 million this year we're gonna eat 45 million of that next year but I think it had to be done oh that guy's attitude towards the last two years wasn't it his game played with all the injuries wasn't it he was never gonna get you over the hump that's just a type of player he is but I'm glad he's gone bring what you feel the same way dude I have a whole like I can't say on this episode but I have like a 10 minute like speech just going off about that guy just on this year alone I think we could all the day that he got the contract he showed the training camp and he did the show me the money that I think right there it tells you like oh we I think we paid the wrong guy we we didn't we yeah we're in

6:11conference after you know yeah those those don't you know yeah yeah yeah this is I think I think pretty more hit it right on the head when he said no accountability like you can't be a hundred million dollar quarterback and take no blame for what goes on on that field but I think being my head right on the head when he said it's a new philosophy coming in so let's talk about that for a bit because this isn't a reset this is a complete full tear down when you get rid of the hills when you get rid of the waters when you when you get rid of the chubs you get rid of tour you get rid of McDaniel this is and I guess this is I can burn oh Jesus Christ that guy was terrible I think of Rella Viper could have definitely got him past that guy that guy is terrible but I will say Danny when when we were starting our coaching search and we don't have to get into that but I meant like when we picked this guy the first thing I thought to

7:12myself is he's gonna hire his best bud in the world Jeff Hathley when the name started coming out because there's no way that you come from an organization like the Green Bay Packers and by the way they're storied for a reason they've been great for so long even down even during their rebuild they still managed to be competitive and being the picture against the bears the line so on and so forth so it's not that I didn't trust them but I'm like there's no point in me even looking into any of these other coaches this guy's gonna hire his best bud but when you look at it McDaniel Sting was while he was here so we could jump into the coaching and GM aspect of it was over gonna have speed we're gonna have quick passing defenses are gonna fierce right now this team has absolutely no identity whatsoever what you think this next season might be so Danny what was your I guess thought process when you saw that these were the two new guys in charge not too surprising that they'd go defense after usually teams go right they tried to enter identity ones too offensive and

8:14they go to the jets well I mean the jets are just trash but so that wasn't a surprise to McDaniel Sting we talked about it two years ago right in 2023 I was telling you this McDaniel Sting I don't see him as a leader of men I see things are going well right now let's see how things go when they aren't going well you've heard people coming out now and they're saying like you know he was too much of a players coach you can't hold no accountable and you didn't seem like that personality now I don't know too much about this new coach happily hopefully how are you pronouncing the name happily I don't know too much bottom I know the defensive coordinator for the Packers usually the defensive coordinators are no nonsense type of people little more hard knows we'll see so if he's that that's probably what the dolphins are looking for I understand that he was buddies with the GM so that's why he also got the job but I think that's going to be a identity right you move on from everyone except for H&N you're going to lean on H&N again I'm just going based off a little bit that I know your defense coordinator protect the ball run the ball I'll make

9:16sure we don't lose the game on defense event and that's without knowing anything about happily that's what I would assume that it's going to be the identity especially when you have a a makeshift roster you don't have money to spend on anything so what are you going to do you're gonna put I think it's like 45 players of the 70 right now are making like two million or less money ball and I think and I know we're not getting into that right now but I think that that's a perfect way to build the roster when you're rebuilding because if you out of those 45 they make two million or less if you get eight to ten of those that end up being good players you ride those small contracts for the next year to make the right moves and it could be a quick rebuild and I think that that was a good move but as far as the identity goes all I know is that he's a defensive coach and I'm assuming that that means that he will play it safe right make sure Malik Willis doesn't throw away the game run the ball with HN which is probably one of the top running backs in the league smart move like some of people like oh you're blowing it up you know trade away HN also now like what

10:16would you trade him he said going into his third season he is an actual star you keep him you build around him I think that the this is gonna be an interesting I'm not gonna say a good I'm gonna say an interesting rebuild here I I bring up and to get into that I'll have you touch on that one too I think unless it's an unbelievable offer like another first round pick whether it be this year next year maybe you have that conversation but if it's anything worse than a first-round pick I don't think you have the conversation about HN but what was your I guess feedback is being a dolphin fan you're gonna look into it more than other people who aren't what was your your feedback on half-lead and our new GM I went to so when they're both hired I thought okay you know to come from Green Bay I don't know if you guys by the way have been to Green Bay and been to the stadium but I would love to I was there with my brother we went on tour we took a quick tour you know we didn't do the VIP ones but we went you know I'm pretty much on the stadium we got to go on the field there's an

11:19aura that stadium carries like the everything that's promoted and you know everything that and everyone that talks about it it's all factual there's an aura you step on so you just feel the legacy and the weight that that franchise carries the people they really care about it so they don't hire just anyone to just run your organization like they hire the right people that they truly trust to run football the way it's supposed to be ran so there's no BS going on that building for the most part it's unacceptable if there's one bad season so hiring two guys from the Green Bay organization and you know they have I wouldn't say they have high remarks and high credential but there's nothing bad no one talks about them there's no question marks now you're in this position at the Miami Dolphins there's a lot of question marks but there's also a lot of leeway because you're in a really bad situation you know you're pretty much left and right just you know he puts think bombs in a room and he walked out can't breathe and told these two guys hey get in there and do you

12:22can the place right please so my initial thoughts are I'm pretty excited because we got a defensive guy okay with Danny said everything is a hundred percent true defensive corners usually don't tolerate not you know no BS right when they preach culture that that is a serious thing like they will bring you know tough gritty like we play for 60 minutes type of attitude which we need that desperately in this football team for sure you know offense and then just you know a joke sometimes on defense but at the point I went to this Miami Dolphins offered there's a vent where you get to have like a more intimate like fan connection with the general manager and the head coach I went to that we I got to meet Sullivan and happily not like either I like I was pretty close to them they're answering a few questions there was one answer that happily he gave

13:24an answer was a fearful moment and he said that it was like it was a game like before Thanksgiving when he was in high school and he talked about how he threw or he was involved I think he was a quarterback he was involved in the last second play it was like an ugly game but they won the game and he didn't emphasize so much on like the game winning play that he was a part of he was talking about celebrating the moment with the guys yeah so that right there tells me that he is he is a player's coach but like winning is one thing like enjoy the moments with the guys he's with yeah those mean that he will go to war with these guys and he wants to see the better days of it and that answer resonated with me so much like I generally want to cheer for this guy I I fully believe because you know when coaches go into a replay the situation they're just gonna say culture they're gonna preach what you want to hear he with those answers tells me that like not like he is willing to like I feel like he will

14:26like take up your name for this team and even though it's gonna be trash or whatever like he we know that he's gonna really like do everything he can to get the better out this team so I'm all for this guy like I'm rooting for him I can't judge Sullivan right now on anything he's doing things the right way I would say because we have some bigs in the top many what we have seven selections I like the top many top 100 yeah yeah 100 I mean that's the best way to that's what you know it like again with towards contract you know it's inevitable like you know what's gonna happen you in this team everything that happened did not work and towards a liability you vibe with everything you know what let's just do it now and move on and so let's see what happens to the point you made of the Greenfield Packers and and the aura and you know they don't hire people that can't do it and stuff I like that just for quick Nathaniel Hack it was an offense recording for the Packers he did well while he was there

15:29man he did well while he was there he ended up getting a head coaching job in Denver in a better than ever was this one make sure you just put that right well hey they gambled they gambled in the guy because the game is you know I absolutely I don't know if you know what franchise I Pittsburgh Steelers the the Greenfield Packers those are two franchises that you're okay they're probably good which one let you know you know they're Chipotle they're Chipotle in Green Bay has a like they have a mural of like just like Green Bay like stuff on like the 80s I want to remember this time 820 am the fact that Danny just threw an Nathaniel Hack it out there now I have to have that burning in the back of my mind with this coach coming into here I guess let's let's get into the because we're gonna have way more in depth conversation we're just dipping our toes in right we're just a little rusty I think I want to kind of what we're

16:35gonna have a pre-pop before having the actual pod where Bremot was about to get into conversation about outlook I want to go last on this so Bremot we'll go to you we'll go to Danny then we'll cut me yeah we'll finish with this what is your outlook your your realistic outlook for this upcoming season for this season it's hard to say because I really want to see what we do in the draft there's there's so many things like we we came in we have enough picks or we have enough you know we could trade up for a quarterback if we really wanted to which is ridiculous to say because we just gave someone a quarterback however there's some pretty good quarterbacks in this class I would say my opinion just for now from here there's some pretty decent ones that you could take a look at I don't know I'm just saying there's a lot of things you could do with I don't believe that thing by the way your boy your boy Sullivan's literally said I will draft the quarterback every single year so it's not out of the question

17:37the word about that's what I'm saying it's not he I'm just going based on what he said like I'm just go down I'm curious to see what happens but again I don't want to question a lot of his decisions yet because it's just like a month like three or four of him working you know right as of right now just looking at the roster the money boss gaming dolphins right now are 20 you know 20 year what is a 20 million a year quarterback yeah throwing to nobody looking at the schedule I really do believe I don't see us winning more than four games and that's being generous I think we're maybe two games at best and so anywhere between you're under his shoes and your overs for I like it I like it I think that's where it's at you said throwing to nobody you're not you're not hyped about two two well two two I will guys gonna be a thousand year receiver in eight seasons combined I'm excited to see two two the outlook for this season don't sell false hope to

18:40fans when they come out be transparent we're we're gonna start this over we're gonna compete we got a lot of young guys it's not about the wins or losses it's about how they're progressing and kind of just don't sell the false hope don't say we're gonna try to make the playoffs not everybody knows what it is just be transparent about it I think the whole money ball like Primo saying is the way to do it the fact that they have so many guys under two million dollar contracts that's the way to do it and see what you get there's diamonds and rough all over the NFL for sure you you might come up with a handful which will be starters in the future you have enough draft picks to make some if you pick correctly have some impact some impact there and then once two and all these other guys a brandy job and all these guys come off the books then you have money to spend like this could be a quick rebuild I wouldn't be surprised that by the end of 2027 we're saying in 2028 this team should be making up fighting for a playoff spot that wouldn't surprise me this if they can do

19:41this year and 2027 correctly in 2028 they could be in the the playoff conversation again if they do things correctly but don't sell false hope everybody knows what it is so don't come out here and they haven't so I'm not saying that they are but don't do it because you know some people like to do that they like to sell false hope and just to do everybody knows what it is I think everybody's ready for it because the last couple of years was like was such a tease right you're scoring like with it like 93 points in a game and you know it has everybody believing that's it everybody it was fun while it lasted and I scrubbed that front of memory by the way I scrubbed that for my memory those 73 points I scrubbed that out of my memory that that never happened many real quick if I could say Danny for sure that false hope thing I I try to have it up past where he did bring it up half he did he did tell us that the goal is playoff we know the situation but all of us in the crowd of course that's what we want to

20:41hear and I kind of want to be like to nobody wants to be like to and that was about to get that's gonna be my goal dolphin fence you guys are the main contributors of this nonsense when it comes to false hope because Malik will assign to oh my god that's it we found the future quarterback stop a guy with what seven starts stop he's not he maybe but he's not was a maflin the the green Bay Packard I was the all-thread quarterback you're right you're right Danny knows how I feel about I will say this my outlook on this upcoming season is kind of like hot primo and Danny said it I don't have any glimmer of hope for the upcoming season if we win like you said two to four games I think I'll be ecstatic that we win two to four games we still have a pretty good schedule do I think we can sweep the jets below we have I think we can split with the jets we have if it was previous season like yeah we're definitely dominating the upcoming season the Patriots are gonna rock us the bills are gonna rock us so

21:43again right there and there you're gonna get five to six losses dolphin fans really need to temper and there's a lot of podcasts by the way I'm not I'm not taking shots at anybody I would never do that I think you are in your own right to think what you think of this upcoming season but my opinion is dolphin fans are the biggest ones that set themselves up for failure they look at a couple of pieces like it's it here we go we're gonna win the whole thing and that's when you end up going on Twitter or whatever social media posts you go on and start bashing the dolphins like if they're the ones that fault no you set yourself up with unrealistic expectations so my realistic expectations kind of what primo said Danny two wins three wins I maxing it out at four I wouldn't go over that I think Malik Wilik's like primo said brings an aspect that the dolphins have had in a while where he could get out of the pocket he could stretch the ball down the field as he has occurred to a absolutely not but he could run faster than to a he could get out of a pocket he could dodge a three

22:46hundred and twenty pounder throwing him and flopping him into a pretzel on the ground he could do these type of things so is he gonna extend plays is he gonna still be exciting sure is it gonna be the fastest what was it the fastest team on on turf I don't think I think we're far from that with the last one and just to touch on this one last thing Danny Seagullius out we could hit on seven on those picks it would be amazing it would be unheard of right but even if you hit on four and then you use them and their rookie contracts for the next four years obviously that fair for under what have that fifth year option but everything else in the second third and third rounds these guys are gonna be playing on four year rookie contracts a lot of money coming off the like Danny said prepare don't prepare for this season this next season should be hope that's it that's what it should be we hope to hit on some people and then year two of this rebuild is gonna be like all right now let's get exciting can we flirt with the playoffs that year three that year three is what I'm going for Danny is where like all right is this a successful rebuild right that that's my

23:50outlook on it did I don't have any expectations for this upcoming season and I'm not and I'm not I'm gonna watch games I'm gonna watch our young talent I'm going to see if there's hope there but I'm absolutely not setting the bar even significantly high on this upcoming season now it's gonna be one of those things where in December as much as people hate to do it you end up finding yourself doing it you're like let's not win this game because we're like possibly tough and I don't know how bad it's gonna be I really don't need to see where I draft like maybe we'll change our minds before the season starts to be like you know what make sure you can win seven eight games right maybe molecules and pre-season's like wow this guy they might leave the league in and rushing yards with with his legs and then an agent oh yeah you're absolutely right and the defense is okay going on huh defense is good all of a sudden you put a couple offsets all of a sudden you change your outlook so I don't know but just based off of what we know right now we're going based off of today it's an I can't imagine that seems to have like a tough time like losing like you know for a ticket to game you're not supposed to like lose or they're
