Never Give Up "Where Giving Up Is Not An Option"

I'm your host Rachelle Jones Well, it's so good to be back in the studio to be able to Just kind of talk and encourage you today about, you know, hanging in there not giving up that sometimes We can give up and not really realize it because we haven't left the building I have with me today in the studio a good friend of mine We go to church together. We serve on the Boston healing rooms together and Just calling and encourage each other from time to time elder Betty and She goes to cross town church and we're just going to hear from her Strong woman of faith powerful woman of God and so I think that we would all Gleens some wisdom by listening to some of the nuggets I don't know if she wants to share her age, but this is a woman who has been doing the things of God for a long time

1:02And she's still running for the Lord. Welcome. Welcome. Elder Betty's good to have you here in the studio Thank you. Thank you so much, minister Rochelle I'm glad to be here. I had no idea that this is where I would be today But to God be the glory. Yes, we like the show says we can never give up. That's right We have to proceed Forward we have to go forward in the Lord Because one day he's coming for us and we really have to be ready. So there's no time to look back There's no time not to focus on going forward We must continue to press and to live the life that God requires of us Yes, it's one thing to know what to do and not to do it But we must do what it is that God requires for us because he is a Covenant keeping God and when we Say that we're gonna do something we have to do it with all that's within us

2:05He's already given us a job to do and that job is to go and to tell others of his goodness Tell others that he want them to come and be a relationship with him That's all he requires of us come and talk to me Come and just let's have a time together and join one another and You know what whenever you do that you will be free to worship and to serve him at all time I'm so grateful that the Lord helped me this many years. He did not Leave me to my own Devices, but he says because you are my child you have to proceed You can't look to the left you can't look to the right you have to move forward Yes, and I give God praise for all all all 82 years that he's blessed me Thank you Jesus to come this far and it's only because I desired To go forward and not to look back So I would just like to encourage you today don't think about going back

3:08Don't think about the things that you cannot accomplish for the word promises that we can do whatever it is that God requires of us When we put God first Yes, and I'm so grateful today that I thank God that he allowed me to put him first Thank you, Jesus. It's all that we need is to put him first and not go back to the things in this world There's nothing the world has to offer So I'm just grateful to just to be here to let you know that God loves you and he's concerned about every area of your life Everything that you do And he wants you to share that love with others that come your way You may not know who it is or when it is as long as you are Sharing the love of God and letting his light shine through you. Yes. Yes Well, thank God for Jesus today That's that's pretty powerful. We thank you because He said in this world we're gonna have troubles but be of good cheer for he has overcome the world and so

4:13We have to lean into knowing you know that many of the afflictions are the righteous But God will deliver us from them all and that's that's what we have to hold on to and sometimes, you know Life it can be you know, we just have to we go through it But what's go through if we're going through it anyway? Let's go through it joy Right the joy of the Lord is our strength like let's not try to like, you know Walk in negativity walk in the past walk in hope Hopelessness, but we are a people who have hope we're a people who trust and believe God in Many circumstances in all circumstances whether we're up or whether we're down, you know Whether we're in the valley or whether we're on the mountain top that God is still a good God and that he who Began the work in us. He is so faithful to complete it, right and so yeah

5:13We you gotta hold on you can't give up. Yeah, you know, um, I had a friend elder Betty and she said well You know, I'm I'm 60 and I want to go back to school She said but it's gonna take me four years to get my degree and I'll be You know older and I'm like well four years is coming whether you have the degree or not So, you know, you're not escaping the the the time the Bible tells us to walk circumspecally redeeming the time He said why because the days are evil so don't put off tomorrow an idea that God has given you today Or if he wants to restore situation today, you know, so there are things you have to search out There are things that you might have to do you might have to become more vulnerable you might have to I ask for forgiveness You might have to forgive someone else, you know from a deed done But whatever it is we don't want to live Hopeless and helpless in the past and allowing the past

6:16Hollywood to continue our To to fight us and to keep us from achieving all that God has he knows our troubles He knows our struggles. He knows the things that we are going through but he said be of good cheer Because he has overcome the world. Yes. Yes, and I love it all to Betty because he said I am the way the truth and the life That's right. So therefore when he says he's the way that means he's been I can't tell somebody oh come I know the way, you know what I'm saying if I've never been there, right, and so he can tell us that and be you can Be confident in it because he's been through it That's right and came back to come get us. That's right. Amen. Amen. Talk to me and he's he's watching always watching and one thing You can be sure about God when he says something. He means it. Yes, he does not change his mind And when we think about his word his promises that he have made unto us

7:20He told us it to come unto him all All of us that labor and a heavy laden we can be burned down about so many things and so many problems But it makes no sense because he said his Yoke is easy and his burdens are light. So what we have to do is we have to cast These burdens and these yokes upon him and he will sustain us He will bring us through every situation But if we doubt if we take our eyes off of the master If we decide in our mind, he's not going to do it. No, we can't do that. We have to say God I know that every promise is yes, and I know that you love me Father God just like the rest So God I'm going to continue and this I'm going to continue to trust you I may not get this degree even in four years, but I'm going to strive for it I'm going to say I'm going to press on I'm going to take this course I may fail this course, but I'll take it again

8:20That's it because you are with me and every one of your promises Yes, and if someone else can do it I know I can do it because you God have no respect to persons and you are walking me through these situations Yes, yes, I can cast every care upon you For you are the one that care for me and I give you praise God because I've accepted As your child the promise hallelujah that you made me and that promise is eternal life I want to see your face. I don't want to look back into the world into all the ideologies and all but lies that if I want to press forward to receive a crown of life And you are the only one God that gives us the crown of life So how dare we how dare we look back how dare we give up on the things of God You are faithful to keep every one of your promises and I am so glory be to your name Father God

9:22I am so grateful. Yes, I don't have the fear that you're not going to bring me out So many times even at the night time sometimes I lay and I have the problems with these legs, but you know what I tell God You made these legs you're in control of them, so I can do what it is that I need to do today And I get up and I go my way and I do what I need to do for the day That's because of the faithfulness of God And you know what he promised I'm not leaving you I'm not forsaken you I'm going to be with you hallelujah until I come yes, so just make this your confession Lord You said you're going to be with me so I'm going to make a in this class Yes, I'm not even going to flunk one Brave be to God that you can do all things because it's Christ this in you Christ is your hope not name myself or I that's right, but Christ you're the one that I adore you the one

10:22That loves me that takes me to every situation So I want to give you some praise hallelujah hallelujah I want to say there's no need of even contemplating not even putting it in my mind that I have to look back But I can go forward and do those things that you require of me and even miss Rochelle and I can sing we can learn to sing We don't know We don't know how God would do it, but he can do all things and we believe that We believe that today Let's be your name mighty God. Amen. Amen. And I tell you that is the posture of one who does not give up Amen, and I tell you it was so funny because when you said you could even flunk the class I mean I took physics. I had to take it twice I could not understand but the one thing as I was bound and determined to learn I'd stay up late I'd be in that engineering building trying to get concepts do the problems and I did have to take it again

11:28But nevertheless amen But sometimes we have to be determined we have to be steadfast and unmovable amen and so And so that that that is pretty pretty powerful one thing too that I wanted to kind of talk about is being in integrity, you know To yourself and being in Keeping your word the God has made us some promises. Amen. Yes, he says the promises of God A yes and eight men and God said that his word will not return void But it will accomplish everything it was set out to do so that lets me know that I'm going to have to do my part And what happens sometimes is we don't keep the promises of our own selves, right, you know So we're no longer sometimes an integrity to what we've said to ourselves It's sometimes we are in more integrity to others like oh can you do this or take me here and you're like sure

12:31But what about the promises you made yourself what about all what we call so-called New Year's resolution that I'm gonna be I'm gonna make sure that I take care of my health I'm gonna make sure that I spend time with God those things that we have said to ourselves But yet they fall through that sometimes we have to make sure that we are in integrity with With the with the word of God and the things that we have said to God You know kind of like if the airplanes going down and the person says Lord if you save me from this plane I'll serve you forever and then they don't do it. Yeah, no That is that is so true and we have to be reminded That God in his word gave a specific examples Of what to do he said it is better It's better for us to not say that we're gonna do a thing that's right say it and not do it Know this is the word of God if you're gonna promise something

13:34That's right then you need to keep it. It's better not to say I'm gonna go to prayer or whatever the situation may be I'm gonna bring you a dinner. I'm gonna visit the same come on. I'm gonna visit the hospital Don't say it if you're not gonna keep your word because your word is your bond that's right and God whatever he said He accomplished it his word didn't go back to him boy, but Even when the children of Israel are going through the wilderness He told them he said okay, if you don't obey me You will not go into the promised land and as many people as headed out To the problem through the wilderness they did not make it through the promised land Because they made about the God they say we'll follow you God that's right They changed their minds along the way. They didn't even believe that even after he fed them and the wilderness even after he Closed them gave them manner and quail. Yes, they could not even continue to believe him to provide for them

14:37So God wants us always to believe him To keep your word because he is a faithful God that always keeps his word He does not change his mind about anything That's right as we care for our children as we care for those around us We must realize that God have commission of covenant with us to do what is his will Not our will, but his will and his his promises are easy We just have to have a made up mind that regardless of what come our way We're gonna hold on and press forward to do what God has commanded us to do He's given every one of us a job to do and his plan is for us To proceed it's plan is for us to be have abundant life. Yes, he said I came to give Abundant life to those that will follow me to those that will walk in fellowship with me So today I want you just to think about the things that God has promised you

15:38If you can't think of anything looking to the word of God and said and realized when he said come unto me Come unto me. That's a command come unto me And he said for sake not to go To to be with the body of believers And those of commands the Lord said delight in me. Yes, and you know when you do these things He said he would give you the very desires of your heart And our desire is to see our family say oh my god is so much division and families today Our families are turning back. They are turning to Idols Idol worship and all these things that they should not be involved in yes, and we must continue to seek God and to move forward knowing that God will give us Our families as a to bring with us when we go meet him in the air I mean because that's how we're going to meet him in the air And I'm encouraged to just continue to pray for them and continue. That's right trust God

16:43Trust to keep us pressing forward Yes, they keep us pressing forward. You know the song right says forward forward Forward we will go forward but Jesus not looking back Not looking back. That's what we want to do Praise God that never reminds me sums one two and three But his delight is in the law of the Lord. Yes And when you're when you're delighting in the law of the Lord he said and in his law Does he meditate day and night and um and a lot of times a lot of this social media is stealing Uh time Time that we could be given to God Delighting ourselves and the things of the Lord We're on that tick-tock and social media and um and so and he said and and and and when you begin to meditate day and night Verse three says and he shall be like a tree This is what happens. Yeah, he become planted by the rivers of water. Yeah, that bring forth his fruit in his season

17:46And his leaf shall not wither and whatsoever he do with Shell prosper. That's right. That's right. And as we're talking about not giving up Sometimes it becomes easy to give up because we really haven't been delighting in the things of God Nor have we been meant meditating day and night in his word and so therefore we uh shakable and I was told that if you're shakable then you're possibly takable right and so we've got to stand secure and firm And with God is saying and I remember that we used to have those bracelets WWJD what would Jesus do? But the problem with that is is that we don't know what Jesus would do if you're not in the word That's right. The word is the only Weapon is the only thing that we have a man He said the weapons of our warfare are not carnal not worldly Mighty yes, oh God Amen to the pulling down of the strongholds, you know, and so we're trying to fight sometimes supernatural battles

18:53But we're trying to fight them in our flesh and in our intellect with our own understanding and knowledge When God has told us elder to lean not he said trust in the Lord. That's right. Would all that hard? Yes And lean not to the own understanding But in all that ways acknowledge all about ways all about ways and that's the thing Oh, you get are we giving God all of our ways all to him And he will direct our power that's right. He'll make those crooked places straight He's the one that says I I have a plan for you. I know the plans that I have for you says the Lord my God And so he desires for us to connect with him Yes, a light in him so that the word of God could begin to illuminate the path that God has for us That's right. That's right And when we walk in his plans. Yes, and his promises We don't have to worry about what happens around us Because they are going to come in alignment with the word of God

19:55If we say Lord, we are trusting you that we get to our destination safely And if we put it in God's hands More times than one we get to these destinations safely. Don't we? That's right. That's because God Always hears us and he knows what's in our heart And he wants us to have a heart to trust in him Not in our own self like minister Rochelle said to trust only in him and don't lean to what we know Sometimes we think our knowledge is greater than the knowledge of God, but he's higher He's more powerful. He can do all things and if we lean on him He will let us realize what he wants us to do in each and every situation that we encounter in our lives And I'm so grateful that we can trust him to help us to get through We can help help us to get through our way with children Help us to get through Disappointments that we have in liars Yes, and know that we have an eternal

20:58Kingdom that we will go with our heavenly Father And then we don't have to be concerned about these things So that's what we're going to strive for we're going to strive to be in his presence where there's fullness of joy Where there are pleasures at his right hand forever more And we're going to say Lord You have What we need remember when the apostles he asked them will you turn back also he was asking his own Apostles disciples that he had disciples and made Because he wasn't sure if they wanted to go with him. He said Lord, where will we go you are the one who have eternal life my god That's our hope and because he's so loving and so kind He knew what they wanted and what they needed we must say that today Lord you are the one who have eternal life And we will holly Louie we want to go with you where you are Where you are we want to be

22:00Drone to every wind of doctrine of everything that leaves us in the wrong way But we want to go and follow you. Amen. Amen. Well, I have a question. Um, do you believe we can fight with with our mouths closed Indeed not Indeed not You know, he told the prophets I said Cry loud Ezekiel cry loud Spare not that's right lift up your voice like a trumpet. Just tell him that I love him Tell him for me that I love them that I care and that I want them to commit their way to me I want them to learn of me To know that I am neat and lonely and they can walk in my troop They can walk in my love because I love them so much He wants us to tell them for him and he's given each and every one of us that commission He didn't leave anyone out when he departed this earth. He said go. Yes

23:01Go and tell them command them of my love of my healing Of my devotion together. Yes. Yes. So that's what we have to look forward to going Going not retract and not looking back but going forward and doing the will of God telling others of his love That's right. Amen. That's right and telling us something about that the mouth He said there he said there was a power of life and death is in the tongue exactly speaking those things that are not as though they were speaking to dead situations and Causing them to rise again Because because we are prophesying and speaking life to dead situations so a lot of times we're under the belief that we acquired and Suffering silence when the Lord said no, we have to open our mouths you have to speak you have to with

24:01Confession that's right. It's powerful. Right You know and we have to declare the words that Jesus told us That's what he wants us to do. He wants us to know that his word is good His word doesn't fail when he hung on the cross and he said it's finished the work that we need to do We see through Christ Jesus when see what he did he said you go and you do the same work So we have open our mouths and do them We can't sit silently and idly by but we must know that God wants us to move And confess what he said with our mouth Confess our healing confess our children's salvation Confest deliverance on every angle confess that we're prosperous. We're productive That we have nice homes. We have iron cars not necessarily that in that order But the fact that God wants us to have an abundance. Yes. A bonus of love a bonus of joy

25:03A bonus of peace This is God's desire for his people He is coming to give us these things, but he wants us to walk in his truth right here right now in this earth That's it. That's it. So we give him praise for that. Thank you, Lord. Thank you And due to run to me six starting at five All the way to seven, but it says and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart with all thy soul with all thy might Yes, and these words which I command thee this day shall be in thy heart And thou shalt teach them diligently until thy children And shall talk of them when thou sit in thy house and when thou walk by the way And when they lie down and when they rise up and you said something about family And I'm like, you know, here it is The formula the family formula. Yes, you got to love God with everything you have

26:05You got to be able to use his words The words that he has commanded us that they would be in our heart And then we need to teach our children exactly And and and and he's saying look when they're in the house When they when they're walking outside when they're outside Before they go to bed when they rise up. That's all throughout the day Yes, that you should be instructing and teaching and showing and revealing who got his yes, yes That's exactly what we have to do And when we let our light shine Then it's going to come to Christ because they're going to want to do better They're going to see the true light That Jesus helps us the only way we can accomplish these things is allowing Jesus to be true Lord of our life And follow his words follow what he's already commanded us to do Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ seek first his kingdom Seek to know what it is that he wants us to line up with and then do it

27:06Do it with all of our might hallelujah and not looking back Not desiring anything that the world has to offer But desire and the things that God has already prepared for us and already planned for us So we're just so thankful that I I'm just grateful to sit here with minister Rochelle and to Just let you know that God will bring you out Hey, man, I don't want nobody looking back He wants us all to know that he's expecting us in his kingdom And we're the ones that have to get there So continue to press forward continue to press hard Don't let nobody just sway you don't let nobody tell you that this isn't going to happen or that isn't going to happen But know that every word that God promised is true for you and for me and for all those that love his coming and love his calling Hey, man, you've heard it from here You've been listening to never give up.
