Neil Sedaka's Final Hours: A Rock Legend's Legacy

0:00This is your entertainment update for March 19th. Nielsa Dhaka passed away on February 27th at age 86 from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, a condition caused by build-up in the better. Arteries, kidney failure also played a role according to his death certificate released nearly three weeks later. He woke up feeling unwell around 8 a.m. that day, prompting paramedics to rush into a Los Angeles hospital just hours before his death. His family shared their heartbreak in a statement, calling him a true rock-and-roll legend and an incredible human being who inspired millions and will be deeply missed. Dhaka rose to fame in the 1960s and 70s with massive hits like breaking up his heart to do, laughter in the rain, and bad blood. He wrote over 500 songs, earned five Grammy nominations, and joined the songwriter's Hall of Fame in 1983. Two days before, he was spotted enjoying dinner at a restaurant in LA, looking in good spirits. He was embalmed at Hollywood Funeral Home and buried on March 3rd at Beth O'Lam Cemetery.
