NCP Closes 22 Car Parks, 33 Jobs Lost

The closures hit on Friday, March 27, at 11.59pm, with one spot in the West Midlands on the list. That's the Gossery Car Park, right in Birmingham City Center, close to spots like the Hippodrome Theatre and the Bull Ring Shopping Center. The company has been struggling for years, thanks to more people working from home and shopping on mine. Earlier this month, NCP, which runs 340 sites and employs 682 people, went into administration under BVC experts. These closures mean 33 jobs will be lost, with redundancies starting March 31st. Employees will get support through the standard process, but it's tough news for those affected. Administrators reviewed operations and decided these 22 spots just aren't viable anymore. Meanwhile, the other 318 car parks stay open, and no more shutdowns are planned right now.
