National Oregon Day

0:00Today, we're visiting the Beaver State to meet a permanent resident of a local high school who still demands a moment in the spotlight. Welcome to the National Day Spotlight for March 8th. In the Tala St. Helen's Oregon, the local high school is home to one of the state's most famous ghost stories. Generations of students tell the tale of Vera, a spirit said to haunt the school's theater. From being a scary legend, Vera has become a beloved member of the drama department. According to tradition, if you don't show her proper respect, things tend to go wrong an opening night. White's flicker, props disappear, or curtains jam. To keep the piece, the students have an equal. Vera's name must be included in every single play program, usually listed as assistant to the director or head of security. On National Organ Day, we celebrate the quirky traditions and deep-rooted legends that give the Pacific Northwest its unique, mysterious charm.
