Nate Thomas: Cowboys' Next Man Up at Tackle

In our next men-up series, we're zeroing in on offensive tackle Nate Thomas, a third year player drafted in the 7th round, 200. 33rd overall out of Louisiana, back in 2024. He's got two years left on his deal, played all 17 games last year with four starts, and the Cowboys win two and zero in his first two career. Starts at left tackle. Thomas lit in the draft due to a rough injury history that screamed day-to-talent but came with risks. The Cowboys rolled to dice anyway, he missed all of 2024 on injured reserve, but stayed healthy in 2025, stepping up big. Right now, the tackle spots are wide open despite Tyler Gaiden, at left and Terran Steele at right. Thomas pushed both hard last season and heads into. A healthy off season with eyes on a starting gig, or at least swing tackle duties. If he keeps developing that athletic upside, Thomas could lock down a starter role on either side before his contracts up, especially as the Cowboys. Sword out Gaiden, Steele, and any new additions.
