Napoli preview + Flight delay issues & Arsenal predicted XI

Whether you're watching or listening to this around the world, there's always thank you very much for joining me here on the channel. The home, of course, the Premier League champions who a little bit later on today get their Champions League campaign underway for the new season. Can they, can they finally get their hands on that trophy we shall see in about what, eight or nine months time, been caught final, semi-final, final the last three years. Can we go one better this time around that? It's a challenge. That is what everyone is certainly hoping for this season at Arsenal. It all starts tonight in Naples. Tough, tough away game to get underway. It hasn't been helped with some good old fashioned British travel chaos to get things going.

1:01So we're going to talk about in that today's show. We're going to look ahead to the game. Look, a few comments from a killer. Settler are going to be predicted. Eleven, of course, you guys have been sending in your thoughts in terms of the 11 you want to see today. Thank you very much for that. I shall be sharing those a little bit later on as well. Gabriel Jesus has been talking about his move to Barcelona as well as a few comments to come from Gabriel Jesus. Could be an action a little bit later on today in the Champions League as well. Right, where should we start? We'll start. We'll go ahead quickly. Last night's fixtures. Obviously the Champions League is spread over three days this week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. All got underway. Yes, they see some of the results. If you're watching it on YouTube here, club Brewjus versus Aston Villa, Villa finally get themselves up and running for the season three to win. I watched quite a bit of that game. Good exciting game that end to end. Villa winning that three to Dortmund winning three to as well. Ethan Waineri playing. I watched a compilation of one Aries game yesterday. I thought he looked very, very good, which he actually started the game on the bench, but there was another injury to one of Dortmund's big summer signings have lost both for their big summer signings now to injuries in like the first two weeks.

2:04So season really unlucky for them. So Ethan came on about 20 minutes. Went off again about sort of five minutes from time, but it looked like he had a really good game. Actually, it was really, really heavily involved at the post. And it was just really, really heavily involved. Thought it was a good game. He's also quite noticeable. They got a free kick Dortmund about 15, 20 minutes ago. I think in the second half, really good position. And it was Monari took it. I mean, it was on his left foot, but it was him who took it, which for a 19 year old, sort of low knee, noot at a club to be given a responsibility of a free kick around the edge of the penalty area. I thought it was quite a good sign of how much they trust him in the responsibility he has already been given. So good performance for Ethan. I thought Dortmund win three, two AK Athens, winning one, Neil Porto losing to Manchester City. Yet another double from early in Harlem. That guy is a machine around Madrid, two, one. Madrid a little bit fortunate. Perhaps I saw bits and pieces of that game, a bit fortunate, interval for a little bit unlucky and Real Betis coming from behind to be in a little. Real Betis who asked me to be playing later on in the tournament as well. So those were yesterday's results.

3:05We got Barcelona versus final kicking things off today alongside. Stuttgart and Viking and his Liverpool athletic and Madrid sporting gallery, Tassarai, PSG versus Bratislava and then of course, Napoli versus Arsenal at eight o'clock. So looking forward to a good old evening of Champions League football. You can see there if you're watching on YouTube, there's Arsenal players all smiles walking onto the plane yesterday at a Stanzard airport. Not sure they were smiling about two hours later when they were still sat on the top back at the airport waiting to take off. If you're watching this somewhere else in the world, you might not be aware, but there was an absolute nightmare of air traffic control in England yesterday that basically turned our airports, our major airports into complete gridlock. Like awful for all the passengers who are involved so many plane cancellations delays. People just stuck at airports completely overnight. It was carnage still is carnage today a day later. I know a lot of Arsenal fans who were headed over to the Naples have had their plans absolutely massively here a lot even not even going to be able to make it over there.

4:10Unfortunately, because of the chaos that's still going on, Arsenal were involved in it. I think sort of they were stuck on the time out for a farewell. The plane, if you're actually sitting in YouTube here, it was due to take off at 320. It actually took off at 623. So over three hours of delay for quite a large chunk of that, the players were on the plane, I believe. So they didn't arrive in Naples till quarter to 10, which meant that Michael Artheta's press conference, Ricardo Calafiri's press conference as well, which was due to take place at 715. That had to be cancelled. So no press conference yesterday, Artheta, the journalists who are over there, quite a few of my mates were over there, Sam and Simon. Of course, from the press boss were there, Tom Cancel was over there. They got sent a few quotes from Artheta, I think, and Gaprat and Calafiri sent a few voice notes for them to use. There are a few quotes doing the rounds, but not ideal. I think sort of 945 is just about, is just about okay for it not to be a real real issue for us. Let me imagine they're probably at the hotel about sort of 11 11ish, still got a decent night sleep.

5:14You would hope police didn't sort of go through into the middle of night or anything like that, but it's just not the ideal sort of preparation you want for a big, big game. Obviously, no one's going to use that as an excuse later, no doubt about it, but definitely not what you want. It would have a champion league game, no doubt about it, but at least they got there. At least they are in Naples. Michele, as I said, did give a few sort of quotes who were sent to the journalists who were waiting for him at his press conference. On that, at least it would be a really tough place, been in that stadium before. I know the atmosphere they create, the record at home is really, really strong. They have a very experienced manager, a lot of players that played in the league as well. We know the challenge ahead, we are prepared and we're ready to go on Arsenal and having another Champions League tilt, as I said. It's been steady progress over the last few years. You can see it's just charting that way at the moment. Beat them quarterfinals, beat them semi-finals, beat them finalists. I mean, the next step, surely, it's inevitable. We've got to win it this year, surely. Michele was asked about that on another Champions League tilt. He said, really excited. We know this is a competition and what it means to all of us, the experience of last year as well.

6:17We need to start the first game in a really, really tough place, but really excited to start the campaign. This competition is going to mean a lot. It always does this Champions League, but I think as our Tetra reference there, what happened last season, the way it ended, how closely it came, the feeling of utter pain and heartbreak of losing on penalty shoot out in the final. You would hope that's going to be a real driving force for this team. And they can really, really have a proper, proper goal at this year. It'll be fantastic. Obviously, it'll be fantastic. I know that's just an obvious thing to say, but even more so after what happened last season. So that's what Michele, our Tetra, had to say in terms of team news for today. If you watch on YouTube and see their urine timber has traveled, their areas get onto the plane. Yesterday, sitting there for three hours after the injury that he had sitting on the plane, probably not ideal, but we'll see if he gets some minutes later on today. I can't imagine he's going to start. I'll get some of my predicted 11 a minute. I think that'd be a big, big surprise for you to start the game, but maybe we'll see him get some minutes

7:24midway through second half, something like that. We'll see. You can sort of step things up again and get some more against Sunland, the weekend, then maybe get his first start since forever. I can't remember the game that you actually got the injury in last season. It might have even been the Everton game. The max down one goal, I think was potentially the last start he had. That'd be a big, big boost. Bruno obviously was an unused sub at the weekend, no issue there. He's travelled as well. Obviously, no Williams to leave. He wasn't scared. He hasn't made it. He's not gone. He's still got that hamstring issue that picked up against Hastin Villa that saw him rolled out the weekend. Other than that, everyone's fit. Everyone's available. Marley Sam has gone over there. He might be involved. That's the latest team news from an Arsenal point of view. Tim has travelled. Potentially could get some minute Bruno fine as well. Okay, predicted 11-wise. This is what I've gone for. As I said yesterday, I just don't believe that McElw is going to make massive changes. I've seen people.

8:26I've seen comments coming in saying, I always got it used to scored now. He's got to rotate heavily. I just don't see there's any way that he, and I don't think any manager will at this stage. The first Champions League game of the season, away from home against a really tough place to go against a really tricky team in Napoli. We've got massive squad and a really top quality of squad as well. But I just don't believe. When you look at last season, I saw a stat. I think it was Scott Willis put it out on Twitter yesterday. He sort of listed the changes, the number of changes that McElw made. I can see if I can find it quickly for you here. Here we go. Arsenal started in 11 changes between a Premier League game and then the following Champions League game last season in the league phase. The first one, which was obviously billbower away, which again, tricky away game just like this one. He made one change from the Premier League game the week before. In those league phase games, the amount of changes he made between Premier League and Champions League game was one for the first game. Then it was

9:27two. It was four, two, five, seven, eleven and four. I've seen at the end, Arsenal would pretty much wrap things up for those final two games. But earlier on, that first away game, he made one change from the Premier League game that the weekend earlier. I think he'll make more than one today, but I don't think he'll make loads. This is what I've gone for in my predicted level. Riring goal, obviously, I've gone with the same three or the same back four that started at the weekend, but I think Appi A coming in for Califuri. So, Riring goal, I've gone white, Conz, the Gabrielle in capier, not sure kind of theory to be happy to miss out on initially, but I feel like that's a kind of change that he might make, especially Califuri sort of injury record, that you think this is a good opportunity to get him capier some minutes. Although Tim was travelling, I don't see he starts. I think white will definitely play and I think Gabrielle in Conz will be sent back. So, I've then made one change in my field. So, I've gone Zubemendi coming in for Lewis Skelly playing alongside Rice. So, I've got Rice in Zubemendi with Ode to God again ahead of him, Saker on the right. I've then gone Ezra for Solis,

10:29so bringing in Ezra to the left and then Habert's up front. So, there's three changes I'm predicting from the weekend, Winnegan's Chelsea. So, Raya, White, Conz, the Gabrielle in capier, Rice, Zubemendi, Saker, Ode to God Ezra and then Habert's stage. My predicted level, that's what I think the KEL will do. And to be honest, I think that's pretty much the team that I would do tonight. I think I'm sort of looking at White, also. I think it's really important, Arsenal win today. Really, really important. I mean, that sounds stupid thing to say because of course it is, but I think I look at the Champions League games Arsenal have got coming up and this is a tough draw this season. It's the toughest draw they've had. They're getting off to a good start. It's really, really important. And especially if you've got the Ipswich game coming up next week, where you're basically going to make 11 changes. I would pretty much do this. I think three, maybe four. I'd look at, could you potentially go mad away, K for Saker, maybe? I think, but no, I mean, this is very similar to the sort of 11 that I would go for.

Lucas, first of all, says, Raya, White, Gabrielle, Conz, Akin, Kappa, Zuby, Mendy, Rice, Oda, Garde, Saker, Yoko, as a great counterattack team. Love the content. Jelly Belly, there's high-chiles, Myline, Up for Napoli, given a huge need to rotate players, particularly Ben White, Saker and Rice, in addition to given as many players, meaningful minutes would be as follows. Raya, Conz are at right back in Kappa, and Big Gabby in the middle, Miles at left back, McPhilder, Zuby, Bruno and Oda, in the eight, tens, Yoko is up front. If we don't start him now, then his career is all but over Arsenal, not on the right as it on the left. I mean, that's massive changes, massive changes. Andrew says, Hello, Charles, so far I'm impressed with the way we are playing in such our Tetanides to Trust our players by rotation. Saker, Oda, Garde and Califurie should definitely be rested. Ian says, agree, not major changes. I would have Victor, Zuby and Akin, Kappa, in Fakai, MLS and Califurie. First last, there's not expected our Tetanides to make,

12:34as many changes as we'd like, as usual, but my starting lineup would be Raya, in Kappa, Gabrielle, Conz are, White, Zuby and Mendi, Marino, Skelly, Ezra, Yoko is a matter of Waker, a few minutes for Bruno. If he can take it, it would be nice. Maybe last half-hour swap, White for Rice or someone to play the right back row. It's not a deal, but we need to protect White somehow. A couple more now, Mighty Goona, 1886 says, Raya, White, Conz, Gabrielle, Califurie, Bruno, Lewis, Skelly and Ezra, Saker, Marino and Solis, hopefully, Game State permitting, Calir and Saker can be brought off around the 60 mark. Then finally, Roy at the bottom there says, My pick for what it's worth would be Raya, Califurie, Gabrielle, Conz, White, Zuby and Mendi, Marino, Oda, Garde, Ezra, Saker and Yoko is. So lots of sort of different opinions there in terms of what Michele should do and what you would like to see. It's interesting. I'm intrigued by the 11 today, really, really intrigued by it. Your Cres... I mean, there's definitely an argument for starting your Cres in this game just because I think he really, really needs some minutes. He can

13:35see it was a bit rusty when he came on at the weekend. These minutes have been few and far between so far this season. But again, I just keep going back to really wanting to get off to a good start, and Michele will be absolutely determined to get off to a good start. So I just think he won't be looking at this game as an opportunity for minutes for players who haven't played. He'll be looking at the upswitch game next week. Absolutely. He has an opportunity to do that. I don't see him making wholesale changes and some of the really key players, Oda, Garde, Saker, Rice, Havats, you know, the centre backs. I'd be surprised. 14:36Gabriel, Jesus versus recent, Nelson early game kickoff. So anyway, he's been talking about his move to Barcelona and how it came about. It's quite interesting really a bit. Some of it, he's had to say he made his debut for them or against Valencia at the weekend. Five knew, I think it was they won. He says, the truth is I was training with Arsenal. I did the whole preseason with them as normal. Obviously, I already knew that I probably wouldn't be playing there or that I wouldn't get many opportunities, but nobody told me anything. Well, I'm a professional, you know, so obviously, I carried on training with the squad. Then all of a sudden, they made me train on my own. I carried on training, given it my all so that I'd be ready, should I get the chance to play at the highest level again. Obviously, with Barcelona, everything happened very quickly in the last week. Deco's work with the chairman of club, my agent was incredible from one day to the next, it became clear to us that I had the opportunity to come here. Obviously, I said yes to Barça, straight away, interesting, very much sounds like there. If what he's saying is absolutely legit

15:38and correct, true, he was very much placed in a bit of a bomb squad at Arsenal, they're training with the squad. And they're even though he knew his opportunities limited and then suddenly bang, it was like, you know, even with the squad anymore off your trot off you go. Pretty Chelsea-like, I suppose, from Arsenal. I think a lot of people look at that and think, well, that's not great, but I think another lot of people will look at that. So that's what we need to do. We need to get tougher on it. So yeah, interesting stuff I've fought from Gabriel, Jay-Zus there. We'll see how we get some later on tonight against Fion or could we'll be still looking for his first goal. Obviously, for Barcelona, we'll see if he gets that tonight. Him, Gabriel, Jay-Zus and the Champions League is a mix that tends to go very, very well. They get very well with each other competition. And the striker, anyway, that is it from me today.
