Nakobe Dean Chooses Raiders Over Cowboys

Nikobi Dean, the linebacker from the Philadelphia Eagles, has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders right at the start of the NFL legal tampering window. The Dallas Cowboys made a strong effort to land him as one of their top targets. New Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker just came over from the Eagles, sparking talk that he might recruit some of his old teammates to. The NFC East rival, according to reporter Jane Slater, the Cowboys were right in the mix for Dean and used one of their five allowed video calls with him. Fans and Philly are relieved, since it means they won't face him twice a year anymore. The Cowboys matched the Raiders offer pretty closely, but Dean trusted his instincts in the end. It was a super close call, like 51 to 49 in favor of Vegas. This keeps things friendly for Dean back in Philadelphia, whether from loyalty or just how it shook out.
