A Tarant County judge just ruled Christantis Omondi, not guilty by reason of insanity in the brutal killing of Fort Worth delivery driver, Scotty. Jackson. This went down back in January 2024, when Omondi beat the 51-year-old to death using the very firewood Jackson was dropping off at. A home. The attack happened out of nowhere as Jackson unloaded wood with a homeowner. Omondi, who was completely naked, came charging in, got aggressive, and started swinging that piece of firewood. He even chased the homeowner inside, before finishing the job on Jackson. Witnesses backed up the whole scene, and video from the area sealed it. After that, Omondi headed back to his nearby Airbnb, still naked, and tried to assault a female tenant there, before cops showed up and took him down. Both the prosecution and defense signed off on a mental health evaluation that proved Omondi was legally insane during the rampage. No dispute on that front. Now he's headed to a state hospital for treatment, wrapping this tragic chapter, while the focus shifts to getting him the care he needs.
