N62 Crash in Ballinahown Leaves Five Hurt

0:00On March 29th, a nasty crash on the N-62 in Belenahown County, Westmeath left five people hurt this afternoon around 1pm. It was a car slamming into a van, sending everyone to the hospital with injuries that art life threatening. The van's driver, a woman in her 40s, got taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Mulling Gar with the more serious wounds. Over in the car, the teenage guy behind the wheel in his late teens headed to Midland Regional in Tullamore, along with his three buddies in their 20s. Roads shut down right now, with traffic re-routed while the scene stays locked for forensic checks. No word yet on what sparked it, but is backing up folks trying to get through.
