At the recent National Prayer Breakfast former President Obama said, “Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition people committed terrible deeds in the name of Jesus! “In our home country slavery, and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ. Obama’s former preacher Jeremiah Wright said that Obama had never converted to Christianity. He is still a staunch Muslim. Muslims often bring up the Crusades, but what were they were the reaction to the Muslims invading Europe. Then Charlemagne and El Sid drove them out. But Christianity certainly can’t be defined by what some people did. And if you look at Islam and Sharia law, you’ll learn that it’s about as distant from Christian love as you can get.
