Here's more Sydney news for March 3rd. A murder charge against a 25-year-old man from Porraka has been downgraded to assault after a 39-year-old man died in the Adelaide, Hills. Police responded to reports of an assault on Peterson Lane in Mount Barker just before 10 p.m. on Monday. The victim was rushed to hospital in a private car, but passed away shortly after arrival. The suspect fled the scene, but was quickly arrested nearby and initially held on murder charges. A post-mortem exam revealed the death stemmed from a pre-existing medical condition leading to the charge's change. Meanwhile, the two men knew each other and police say the incident was not random. The accused has not sought bail and faces Adelaide magistrates court on Tuesday afternoon. A message from our sponsor supports today's story. Some people meditate.
