MSU Women's Basketball: SEC Tournament Kickoff

The Bulldogs fell 72-63 on senior day, finishing at 18 wins and 12 losses overall and 5-11 in SEC playing, that lands them as the number 13 seed heading into the SEC tournament in Greenville, South Carolina. They faced number 12 seed Florida on Wednesday at 12.30pm. The Gators also went 5-11 in conference with a 17-14 overall record. Florida earned the edge after beating State 71-56 at home a couple weeks back. Fans saw a gritty effort from the Bulldogs against the powerhouse LSU squad, but now all eyes are on keeping the season going. State has postseason experience, including a solid run in the women's basketball invitation tournament two years ago, reaching the quarter finals. Before losing to Penn State, a win over Florida sets up a Thursday matchup with Oklahoma, who dominated them 95-47 earlier this season.
