Moving from Self-Worth to Self-Sabotage - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Why is it so hard to forgive another person? Why is it so easy to relive a personal affront over and over inside your head, having imaginary arguments until you finally win? Why do you insist on getting even?
Pride, and I’m not talking about a group of lions.
Our own sense of self – our pride – is an important part of feelings of self-worth and self-confidence. Pride is not a bad thing until it’s allowed to rage out of control. That’s when you are so upset that you say you’ll never forgive someone, or relive the affront endlessly inside your head, or plot ways to get even. None of that is productive, it’s destructive to your wellbeing, happiness, and success.
Take care of you – channel your inner Disney princess and “let it go, let it go!”
