Move Over Penn Station, Next Stop…. Trump Station

After months of dancing around the subject, the Trump administration has officially submitted a proposal to the Senate to change the name of New York’s storied train station, Penn Station. Notably, the request was slipped in the middle of a request for additional funding to rebuild and transform the station into a “world class” facility, and there was no specification as to what the new name would be, however, several recent responses from administration officials leaves little doubt. The push back and reaction has already begun, one New York politician calling it “a hostile takeover of Penn Station.”
