Mother Kills Children, Self in Lakewood Ranch

0:00On March 10th, a tragic family incident unfolded in Lakewood Ranch, Florida last month when a mother killed her two young children before taking her own life. The victims were 44-year-old Monica Rubachia, her 14-year-old son, Josh James, and 11-year-old daughter, Emma James. Their bodies were found at home on February 26th. The father, Richard James, originally from Wales, have been working in South America and grew worried enough to contact authorities. Debuties from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office responded and made the grim discovery. Richard is believed to be the brother of a well-known Welsh radio DJ and sports reporter named Polly James from Cardiff, adding to the sorrow for, their extended family across the Atlantic. Investigators quickly determined that the mother acted alone, shooting the children in separate rooms of the house before turning the gun on herself. They found no signs of anyone else's involvement. Officials described the scene as heartbreaking, especially for the responding deputies and the father rushing back from overseas with nothing, too.
