The housing secretary, Angela Rainer, has suggested that reform UK could be forced to return a slice of the £72m donated to them by two cryptocurrency billionaires. It's due to new rules on overseas donations that will be backdated to March. Nigel Farage's party says it's very confident both donations are legal.

1:01Peter Gagan is an investigative journalist and author of Democracy for Sale. It's pretty clear actually that the cap on donors overseas have Britain's abroad of £100,000 and that people would have to be resident Britain for at least 12 months before they could give more. A 76 year old man has been charged with concealing his identity after wearing a burker at an anti-immigration protest in Portsmouth on Saturday. He's due in court later this morning. Boris Johnson and senior European security officials have been caught up in a security scare in Ukraine. Former Prime Minister says he was travelling on a train near the border with Poland when another service was attacked by Russian drones. Michael Bosekiew is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council and he's told Times Radio about the broader security implications of the incident. This is a pattern now and it's getting worse and worse and in a strange way this has done Ukraine a favor because the publicity over this is huge but let us not forget.

2:04This is not about Boris Johnson. This is a pattern that happens day after day after day. The First Minister of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are meeting later to sign a declaration on independence. The memorandum of understanding is expected to push down in street for referendums in their respective nations. Andy Burnham will call for a culture shift when he gathers business leaders in Downing Street today to pledge to back entrepreneurs. The Prime Minister is expected to host a series of events in number 10 aimed at pitching his government as a partner for growth which can offer a stable platform for investment in the UK. The government is being urged to do more on AI regulation after warnings from tech companies that the systems are racing beyond human control. The Times understands ministers are wary that tough regulations could jeopardise Britain's access to the most advanced closed models which are considered important to national security. Jake Moore is a global security advisor and AI expert and he's told Times Radio that it's a difficult balance to strike.

3:08We're trying to regulate something that is already far far ahead in the technological race but we don't want to stifle that regulation. It's reported that a former Royal Protection Officer told the FBI that Andrew Mountain Baton Windsor breached security rules to secretly take young women into Buckingham Palace. Paul Page contacted the US authorities investigating the former prince's links with the Peterfile Geoffrey Epstein. He says the British police ignored his offer to provide information.
