Back to market on clothes. I'm Marley Caden here in Chicago alongside San Vadas at the New York Stock Exchange. We'll close out our show how we always do with some final thoughts on the session. Crewed oil prices, of course, surging now after escalating conflict involving Iran rattled the global energy markets and raised fears of supply disruptions. US crew jumped more than 8% while Brent climbed sharply as tanker traffic through the critical straight up where Moose slowed. Now that choke point handles roughly one fifth of the world's oil. Iran's revolutionary guard now saying that it has closed the straight up for Moose and it will hit any ships trying to pass through. Analysts warning prices could spike toward $100 a barrel if this disruption persists even as OPEC plus signaled modest output increases for now. Markets do remain highly volatile investors closely watching whether these tensions ease or the supply shock deepens right now US crewed sitting at 71.51 a barrel friend at 78.43 and we are getting more details coming out to the consolidation that we might be getting if the Paramount Skydance

acquisition of Warner Brothers Discovery goes through. Paramount global is planning to merge HBO Max and Paramount Plus into one single platform that combined service would reach roughly 200 million subscribers globally creating a more formidable rival to other streaming giants. Executive say the HBO brand will remain intact inside the new platform but pricing branding and timing details have not yet been disclosed. Sam you know I'm a big fan of this story but some major regulatory hurdles still to get through especially with the sports components but I'd love to know what caught your eye during the session today. I don't think we're gonna stop talking about this anytime soon but on the macro front Marley we did get that manufacturing PMI this morning the ISM survey coming in better than expected but the pricing component was hot as we mentioned earlier the headline reading coming in at 52.4 which marks a second month in a row of expansion above the Boomer bus line but it was what the survey told us under the hood which is really the story here and that's the prices paid coming in at 70.5 versus the 60.6 that the market was

expecting and 59 in January so it's quite a jump while new orders and production pointed to slower growth and the employment stayed in contraction as well. We saw the 10-year yield rising back about 4% today coming off the lows of last week we did initially see a bid for bonds straight after the attack in Iran at the weekend as traders sought some safety in these markets but then yields moved up as the market appeared to back out some of the rate cutting expectations in 2026 as higher oil prices could have an impact on inflation down the road so there is a view that the abrupt changes in oil prices could have a short-term impact on inflation but that depends just exactly how long and how disruptive this conflict is and where the prices stay higher for longer but heading into tomorrow Mali what will you be looking out for. We take you look at retail earnings tomorrow morning we're going to get target and best spy a target expected report EPS of 217 on 30.52 billion dollars in revenue markets will be laser focused on cost or sale trends any margin recovery and management's commentary on inventory and cost

control under its new leadership investors definitely looking for signs the target can stabilize its sales and sharpen its profitability in this tougher retail environment as for best by earnings should come in around 248 on revenue of 13.91 billion dollars the stock is down more than 30% in the past year with the street focused on consumer demand and tech categories like computing and smartphones as a potential upside catalyst for shares how about you Sam. Well we're going to be getting more fed speak tomorrow so we want to see what they have to say about the latest conflict and the impact on inflation I'm not sure whether this was on their bingo card to speak about this week but on the docker we've got John Williams we've got cancer city fed president Jeff Schmidt and also the Minneapolis fed president Neil cash carry all going to be hitting the taper tomorrow as far as the expectation so let's see what they have to say because of course it is a busy week particularly on the labor market fronter with the ADP and the jobs Friday. Absolutely and we can't have any of these oil conversations without talking about inflation so we'll see some commentary from them on that as well I'm

sure but that is going to do it for us today on market on close.
