Flames had one home fully engulfed by the time crews arrived and it quickly jumped to the one next door. Multiple teams from Tarpon Springs, East Lake, Palm Harbor, and Dunedin jumped into fight it back. The blaze was big enough for a second alarm, but they got both under control in under 30 minutes. One resident ended up at Tampa General Hospital with burns, while another got checked out on site and sent home. The damage left both homes unlivable, hitting the close-knit community hard. Red Cross got called in right away to assist at least one displaced resident from the park.
