Missouri Basketball Surges into NCAA Tournament Territory

At 19 wins and 8 losses overall, 96 in the SEC, they're now projected as a 10 seed with a 95% chance to dance. Earlier this week, Brachatologist Joe Lunardi removed Missouri from his list of the final eight teams in the field. Tools like Bart Torvich's rankings give them an 82% shot at an at-large bid, putting them firmly off-bubble watch, despite a tough slate. Ahead, meanwhile, teams like SMU, UCF, Texas and Texas A&M hover nearby with similar 10 or 11 C projections in the 80s to 90s percent range. Indiana and TCU sit a bit lower, around 70 to 80 percent, while Georgia and UCLA push for better spots after mixed results. Just outside the projected field, squads from San Diego State, VCU and Auburn face steeper climbs with chances under 50 percent.

Looking ahead, the Tigers face Oklahoma on Tuesday and Arkansas on Saturday, both quad one test that could boost their seed line before the SEC, tournament. With stock rising, they're chasing eight and nine seeds like Utah State and Miami.
