Mississippi State Gains Stretch-Four in Sanders

0:00On April 22nd, Mississippi State just snagged a solid transfer from Utah, forward Kindle Sanders committing to the Bulldogs. At 6.8 and 230 pounds, he's the second portal addition this offseason after losing six players. Sanders came off the bench for 32 games with the euths, averaging 20.1 minutes, 5.2 points, and 3.1 rebounds. Per game, with stands out is his outside shot. He drained 40.3% of 77 three-pointers, bringing that stretch 4-5 MSU lacked. Last year, free throws were rough at 38.7%, but that's fixable with summer work. He's joining guard RJ Johnson from Kennesaw State, plus returners like Josh Hubbard, King Grace, T Bartlett, and Cameron Paul. Add three high school signees, and the roster hits six for now. The Bulldogs still need more bodies through the portal, but Sanders gives coach Chris Jans a versatile big with upside to build around next season.
