0:00I'm Steve O'Dell with Mission Network News, a three-day ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan expired Monday night with reports of renewed hostilities. The roots of their conflicts stretch back decades, but the humanitarian cost has been especially high the past month. Nehemiah with FMI says that for gospel workers in both nations, security risks have increased, but so too has the spiritual openness of those they serve. Brave for peace and also for wisdom and courage for ministry workers in complex situations. Meanwhile, in South Africa, Christian world outreach is partnering with the ministry single moms raising sons. A key aspect of this ministry is providing male mentors who can share the gospel with these boys. According to Greg Yoder of CWO, many of these mentors were raised by single moms so they can provide young men with a healthy example of someone who has overcome similar challenges.
