Missed Opportunity With Singer Songwriter Matt Engle From Torchlight Parade

A bone rattling, blend of hard hitting riffs, theatrical spectacles, cutting, chilling expectations, death and everything beyond the grave. Oh my god, this sounds exciting. Why wouldn't I want to have a talk with this guy? The band has been featured in numerous outlet magazines, which has included a large number of charity performances for Toys for Tots as well as the St. Baldricks Foundation. Torchlight Parade is more than just a band. They're called a horror fueled experience. I mean, their lives shows. They transform the stage into an immersive world of where actors roam in character costumes, including a werewolf, Mike Myers from Halloween, Frankenstein, every performance that is unforgettable.

2:04Man, it is so Alice Cooper meets Kiss meets David Bowie. The thing is just this is why I want to have a conversation. The invitation to share that conversation with Matt Engle from Torchlight Parade came on August 29th, 2025. Adding darkness to the band's presence is how it really does feature a license in Balmer in the band. We selected September 22nd, 2025 to be the day of facing the beast of metal music. I mean, everything was set. This St. Louis bass band and I were going to dig into the songs and really get into that performance on that live stage. I mean, they are known for blending Funer Homes, Family and Rock and Roll together, which is included tours with Striper, Tantric, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, and even Black Oak Arkansas. 3:09their answers. This is missed opportunity. Hey, thanks for coming back to missed opportunity. This week we're talking with Matt Engle from the group Torchlight Parade. I say we're talking with no, it's a missed opportunity. Here are the questions. The band is a real family act. I mean, this is some genuine stuff here on that live stage. For you guys, it is life on stage and the afterlife, that makes it scary as hell, dude. The album Children of the Night, which was inspired by classic monster movies, which ones we're talking about here there, Matt. Being theatrical with your music, how do you take it to a live performance? I mean, the light show has got to be spot on, or everything behind the scenes is seen. I mean, you guys bring a really big show into every one of your performances. Are you a rodeo at all?

4:09Or did you ever play that role? The live shows feature scary figures like werewolves, mic mires, Halloween, Frankenstein. Be honest with me. How are you getting away with this without signing your life away? I mean, aren't there laws to protect this? I love how you guys say that Torchlight Parade is more than a band. It's an experience. I mean, the last time that I heard someone say that, Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons of Kiss, you've got to come for the experience. Coming from St. Louis, I mean, the center of the country, I mean, when it comes to a band like this, I mean, I'm not thinking of that town. It's usually like London, New York, or even San Francisco, but St. Louis, come on. Put your dot on the map. Now be honest with me, did your family own this funeral home, or did you have to become the embalmer first and then grow outward from there? Thank God you guys have got good guitar riffs. I mean, they are so fresh.

5:11I mean, I like to pull out my air guitar, and this is one of those where I've got to learn the notes so I can play right along with you. All right, let's talk about these 10 tracks. Frankenstein of Death, the narrator in this. Who is that? Howlin' Wolf. How does you guys even determine the speed and the tempo of this song? I have to laugh at the song. I'm not dead yet because here comes the drums and the harmony you pulled my ass in. The song Children of the Night. You waste absolutely no time getting to those guitar riffs. Nice, long intro. We as listeners, we need that. Morticians never cry. Oh my God, we never think about that, but you put it into a song and it's dark as well. I love the cover of The Children of the Night. I just love what you guys are doing with your artwork because it creates the fantasy,
