Miliband Faces Tesla Energy Ventures License

The company's subsidiary, Tesla Energy Ventures, just received an energy supply license from regulator of GEM after a seven-month review. This clears Teslas' revived power to customers starting Wednesday. Teslas has been active in the UK energy scene since 2020 when it got approval as an electricity generator. The firm already supplies power in Texas in the US, building on its work in electric cars, solar and battery storage. Critics worry about reliability, tied to Musk's influence. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davy labelled Musk a threat to national security and unfit for the energy sector. Campaign Group Bess for Britain rallied 18,000 supporters to object, citing Musk's political stances and changes to his platform. Miliband himself has called the billionaire dangerous in the past.
