Mike White's Survivor Betrayal: 'Judas Moment'

Mike White, the 55-year-old creator of The White Lotus, and an Emmy winner, got voted out early in Survivor's 50th season. He returned after finishing as runner-up in the 37th season, but host Jeff Props snuffed his torch in the March 18th episode. It was a shocking blindside from his friend Christian Hubicki, who had voted for White to win their previous season and even made a cameo in The White. Lotus Season 3, the two were close outside the game, vacationing together and texting often. In a new interview, White said he was totally caught off guard, calling Hubicki's goodbye hug a Judas moment. He has not spoken to Hubicki since leaving the island and feels the betrayal went beyond the game, like a long con. White also admitted his alliance with Angelina, likely painted a target on his back. White praised his original tri-mates, calling them warm, funny characters, like Coach, Jonathan, Charlie, Dee, Tiffany, and Camilla.
