Mighty Trial: New Hope for Rare Cancers in Kids

0:00On April 8th, a groundbreaking trial called Mighty is bringing fresh hope to kids and young folks battling rare, aggressive, solid tumors. They're using CAR-T cell therapy, which reprograms the patient's own immune cells to hunt down and destroy cancer. Up to 60 patients from the UK and US will join, and the first one in their 20s is already on board. This targets three tough cancers. With a mild sarcoma hitting kids under 10, and muscles like arms and legs, uing sarcoma striking teens and bones, or soft tissue, and soft tissue sarcoma, common and teenage boys and young men. Led by UCL experts on the Cancer Grand Challenges team, it's built for these unique pediatric cases.
