The crash happened on the morning of September 17th, 2024, when Shere Lafouente allegedly sped a 2016 Cadillac, over a curb, and into Bay's property before fleeing the scene. Bay claims Lafouente was driving under the influence, knocking over a streetlight and wrecking his front gate, fence, security cameras, irrigation, pipes, landscaping, hedges, trees, and vegetation for a total of $93,000 in repairs. Police arrived after one of Bay's employees spotted the mess and noted signs of a drunken hit and run driver who had escaped.
