00The Lord our God is great and He deserves our praises. Shalom beloved and you are welcome to today's morning glory devotion. Today is our final episode for our three days study on quiet time. Pre-relations to be facilitated in today's morning glory devotion is Jessica Ahollum. Let's pray. Lord Jesus, we thank you for today. We thank you for another opportunity to hear your word. Lord, help us to be dearest of your weight and just listen to us, Amen. Let's can get a call confession.
00Joe shouts up to one with eight. This book of the Lord shall not departs out of my mouth, but I shall meditate on its day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. And then I will make my reposperous and then I will have good success, Amen. Our topic for today is quiet time, specific place, quiet time, specific place, our first scripture reading is Mark 135 and it says before they break the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray, Amen. And our next scripture reading is Matthew 6 for 6. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you and pray to your father in private, then your father who sees everything will reward you, Amen.
02And our last scripture reading is Matthews 26, that's a 6 to 9. When Jesus went with them to the olive grove, God gets him any and he said, sit here while I go over there to pray, to Peter and Zebedee's two sons, James and John and he became anguished in distress. He told them, my soul is scratched with grief to the point of death, stay here and keep watch with me. He went on a little further and bowed with his face to the ground, praying. My father, if it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me, yet I want your world to be done and not mine. Quiet time, specific place. In the last two episodes, we learned that our quiet time would go the snogest of our consistency, but about having the right attitude, with disgusting portions of coming before God with
04an expectant heart, reverence in our laziness, understanding that our time with him becomes truly fruitful when our hearts are prepared to hear, learning will be. We also discuss why having a special time for your quiet time is very important. In today's episode, we will be discussing having a special place for God. The location where you have your quiet time is also important. The Bible indicates that Abraham had a regular place where he met with God. Today's vessel says that she says had a custom of praying in the garden of Gethsemane on the mount of Olives. Your place has to be executed please for God. This is a place where you can be alone, where it's quiet, or where you will not be disturbed or interrupted. In today's world, where there's a lot of noise, this may take some ingenuity, but it is necessary.
05It has to be a place where you can pray aloud without disturbing others, where you have good lighting and for reading, where you are comfortable. Your place has to be a place that's special, where you decide to meet with the Lord. Make it a special place for you and him. As the days go by, that place will come to mean a lot to you because of the wonderful times you've had there with Jesus Christ. Your place ought to be sacred. This is where you're met with the living God. Where you meet the Lord can be just as holy as a place where Abraham met God. You don't have to wait for it to be a church building. I know people have had their quiet times in their car parks, in a quiet place, in the library, in a park, in the office, and even in their bedrooms.
05And somehow each of these places have become sacred to them. As we have started a new year, you want to desire to have a safe place and a quiet place. We call it, where you meet him every single day, just fellowship with him in prayer the word and worship, Amen. Our memory has to be taken from some 119 verse 147 to 148 and says, I rise before dawn and cry out for help. I put my hope in your word, I am awake through each watch of the night's meditations on your promise, Amen. Lord Jesus, we thank you for today, we thank you for an opportunity to hear your word, we thank you for the opportunity to study on why it is important to have quiet time, we pray and we ask for your grace and the strength to be able to have our quiet time with you every single day, so that we can fellowship with you and get to know you
06more and more in Jesus' name, Amen. God bless you so much for joining in today's episode, we'll see you soon time tomorrow for another edifying episode, have a blessed day.
