MGD: Dealing with Regrets

0:00Thank you for joining us right here on Radio HCI today. For today's morning glory devotion. We are Pasta and Dickines Kielsen from the Havest Chapel International, Dina Mekomasi, and we counted a great joy to be coming your way once again with today's message. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Dear Father, we thank you for gathering us under your feet to hear your word. Please enlighten us once again in Jesus' name. Amen.

1:03Let us kindly take our confession for today from Joshua chapter 1, verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then, I will make my way prosperous and then I will have good success. Amen. Today's message is titled dealing with regrets, dealing with regrets. Our scripture reading shall be taken for Matthew chapter 26, verse 69 to 75, and Matthew chapter 27, verse 3 to 5, Matthew 26, 69 to 75, and Matthew 27, 3 to 5. I will be reading from the New Living Translation.

2:09Matthew 26, 69 to 75, Peter denies Jesus and weeks bitterly. Now Peter sat outside in a courtyard and a seven-gale came to him saying, he also went with Jesus of Gully, but he denied it before them saying, I do not know what you are saying. And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there. This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth. But again, he denied without word, I do not know the man. And a little later, those who stood by came up and said to Peter, surely you also are one of them for your speech betrays you. Then he began to curse and swear saying, I do not know the man. Immediately a rooster crowed

3:14and Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, before the rooster crowed, you will deny me three times. So he went out and went bitterly. Amen. Matthew 27, 23 to 5, 27, 23 to 5. When Judas, who had betrayed Jesus, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die. He was filled with remorse. So he took the 30 pieces of silver back to the human priests and the elders. I have sent he declared, for I have betrayed an innocent man. What do we care? They retorted. That's your problem. Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the temple and weighed out and hung himself.

4:15The Lord added his blessings to the reading and hearing of his word, thanks be to God. Amen. Dealing with regrets. Dealing with regrets. Yesterday, we reflected on betrayal, looking at how those closest to Jesus filled him in his hour of need. We saw Judas all handed him over over 30 pieces of silver and Peter would deny him three times. But where there is betrayal, regret often follows. Regret is a heavy thing. It is that sin can feel when the moment has passed and cannot be retrieved. It is that force that waspice. What have I done? It weighs on the heart, replace the past and leaves

5:21one standing face to face with their own failure. Peter felt it. The moment the rooster cried, he remembered the words of Jesus. One looked from the master, broke him and he went out and worked bitterly. Judas felt it too. When he saw that Jesus had been condemned, he was seized with remorse. He tried to undo what he had done. But when that failed, the weight of regrets drove him to despair. Two men both failed. Both felt regrets. Yet their endings were different. So how should we deal with regrets? Maybe this simple guide can help you. A-C-T-T-A-X accept, confess, ten, trust. A for accept.

6:34Accept your wrong. Do not justify it or hide behind excuses. That inner conviction you feel is not to destroy you, but to draw you back. Acknowledge it humbly before God. Seen for confess. Confess and receive his forgiveness. For if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us. 1st John chapter 1 verse 9 The challenge is often not in asking, but in accepting that you are forgiven, do not choose guilt when God has offered grace. T for 10 10 from the past and pressed ford. Do not remain where you fail. Refuse to let it regret to define your future.

7:35Even when memories linger, stand on God's word and move forward in obedience. The last T for trust. Trust God to restore and redeem. Regrets may have cost you something, a strange relationship, and lost opportunity, a damaged reputation. The weight of what was lost can tempt you to despair. But God is not limited by your past. He knows how to take what is broken and bring beauty out of it. And we know that all things work together for God, to those who love God. Roman chapter 8 verse 28 And so trust him to restore what was lost and to redeem what seemed wasted. This is where the paths of Peter and Judas clearly part.

8:40Both failed. Both felt regret, but one allowed regret to drive him back to the Lord. While the other allowed it to drive him away. And that is the difference. Regrets in itself is not the end. It is a crossroad. It will either lead you back to God or further away from him. The direction you take makes all the difference. Beloved, let your regrets push you to God. Not away from him. Do not run from him in shame. Run to him for mercy. In Christ, failure is never the final. There is forgiveness. There is restoration. And there is still peppers ahead. So let us rise again. Let us go off yesterday. Let us walk in his mercy.

9:45Let us accept, confess, 10, and trust in God. Let us act now. God richly bless you. Let us kindly take our memory verse for today. To learn to accept our wrongs, receive your free gift of mercy, to turn back to you, and to trust you to restore that which we have lost.
