MGD: Above the Noise

My name is Sharon Assan from Harvest Chapel International Kumasi and I'm privileged to be facilitating this episode. Let's kindly begin on the note of prayer. Dear Father, we thank you for today, we thank you for another time in your word, prayer that you shed light on your word and give us understanding in Jesus' name in men. Let's take our confession from Joshua chapter 1 this 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth but I shall meditate in

1:08its day and night as I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous and then I will have good success in men. Today's devotion is titled above the noise and our scripture reading will be taken from Deuteronomy chapter 6 from verse 4 to 8 and I read here O Israel the Lord our God the Lord is one you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength and these words which I command you to day shall be in your heart you shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house when you walk by the way when you lie down and when you rise up you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes in men

2:11above the noise we live in a noisy world from radios blasting news and hot tics for anyone who cares to listen to social media littered with opinions under every post and every thought shared with unnecessary conversations in the workplace and even in public transport you can't seem to escape the noise of this world there's always something competing for your attention or trying to shape your thoughts as believers we cannot afford to live by the opinions of this world we have just one set of guiding principles which is the word of God both the logos the written word and the reamer the spoken way keeping in mind that we live by the standards of God and not the standards of this world keeps us from making certain compromises and pushes us to bear fruit in this perverse world he Bruce chapter 4

3:14verse 12 tells us that the word of God is living and active never mind that it was written so many years ago whatever is written in the word of God applies to us today and has the ability to transform our lives when applied as God intends the word is also able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart and then teach, rebuild and train us in righteousness when we live according to the word of God we allow the Holy Spirit to influence us we knew our mind and shape our thoughts to become like God's thoughts then day by day we begin to look more like Jesus the key to experiencing fully the benefits of the word of God is apportion is with humility apportion the word with a teachable and open heart will enable us to receive all that God wants us to receive commit to spending time

4:17reading the word have your general and the highlighter with you as you study the word more importantly come expectant expect God to speak to you and reveal himself through his word when you do you will begin to experience your transformation beloved as you go through your day and the rest of your week go with the consciousness that God had you in mind when his word was being written and that everything you need has already been made available to you so in the midst of all the noise choose his word amen let's take a minute from Psalm 119 there's 103 and 105 house with your words taste to me they are sweeter than honey your word is a lump to guide my feet in the light for my path amen we love it let's share

5:18your word of prayer dear father we thank you for your word that has come to us today pray that as we go throughout our day you will help us to make time for your word to remain in your and to listen for your voice in Jesus name amen God bless you so much for being the part of this morning's devotion pray that as you go throughout your day God speaks to you and that you listen to what he has to see have a blessed day shall own
