Mgbako's Return Boosts Aggies' 2026-27 Season

Gaco, sideline most of the year by a foot injury is expected to return for the 2026-27 campaign. The 6-foot-9 standout only plays seven games this season, averaging 10.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Coach Bucking McMillan shared the update during a press conference on March 2nd. He said M. Gbaco's rehab is going great and confirmed the player will stay with the team, instead of entering the NBA draft. That means no rush to the pros until he's fully healthy. M. Gaco transferred from Indiana last year after earning Big Ten co-freshman of the year honors as a top recruit. His size and shooting range from beyond the arc have been missed, especially in a front court short on minutes from taller players. The Aggies' face roster changes with key departures like, Woshanegi, Marcus Hill, and seniors D'Akari Lane and Ryland Griffin, exhausting eligibility.
