I've learned one thing in this business world.......

 

A motherfucker's word ain't shit. 

 

I assumed because I'm a person of my word and integrity, that everyone else is. 

 

I used to believe people and take their word. 

 

When I worked in the streets, we didn't have contracts. 

 

Now days, I don't just let people talk to me. 

 

I have them write up everything they're going to do and send it to me. 

 

By doing this I can hold them accountable when they don't do shit for something I paid them for. 

 

My grandparents always told me to get everything in writing. 

 

Keep records. 

 

Refer to the documents when someone comes up short. 

 

It's one way to keep the dishonest ones out of your business.
