Mets Retire Beltrán's Number, Induct Him into Hall

0:00On April 7th, the New York Metz just announced their retiring Carlos Beltran's number 15 on September 19th. It'll happen in a pre-game ceremony before their 4-10pm matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies, and they'll induct him into the Metz Hall of Fame. Right there too. He's the ninth player to get that honor. Right up there with Tom Seever, Mike Piazza, and David Wright. On top of that, Beltran's heading to the baseball Hall of Fame as a Met on July 26th after getting voted in back in January. Beltran crushed it over seven seasons from 2005 to 2011, signing a massive $119 million deal. He made five All-Star teams, grabbed three gold gloves, and belted a franchise record tied 41 homers in 2006 during their NLCS run.
