The New York Met's wrapped up Thursday spring training action with a 3-1 exhibition loss to the St. Louis Cardinals down in Jupiter, Florida. Jorge Palanco provided the highlight, smashing his second home run in his many games for the team's loan run. That blast has really turned things around for Palanco, pushing his spring OPS up to 1.30 after a sluggish beginning to camp. Brett Beatty ran into some trouble in Rye Field where he misplayed a ball and let a double turn into a triple. He's spending this spring adapting to the outfield spot after getting shifted away from third base to build more versatility. Tyrone Taylor stood out with a laser throw from left field, gunning down a runner trying to slide into third base.
