From the Daily News Now Network, this is Cory with Entertainment and celebrity news today. Married at first sight star, Mel's shilling shared a heartbreaking update on her cancer fight. The 53-year-old learned last December she had colon cancer from a 5-centimeter tumor that doctors removed right away. Scans early last year showed the cancer had spread to her lungs. She powered through 16 rounds of chemotherapy over two years, even while filming the show and lined up a promising clinical trial for this. Over Christmas though, severe headaches and numbness hit her right side hard. Tests soon confirmed the cancer reached her brain on the left side. Doctors now say there's nothing more they can do after some radiotherapy. Mel says her strength is fading fast, but she's still battling with her husband Gareth and 10-year-old daughter Madison caring for her. She's grateful for fans' support from the start and urges everyone to get checked if something feels wrong. It could save a life.
