Mel Schilling, the 54-year-old relationship expert from Married at First Site, has shared heartbreaking news about her colon cancer. First diagnosed in December 2023, she had surgery to remove a 5-centimeter tumor and got the all clear at first. But now, her oncology team says the cancer has spread to the left side of her brain, and there's nothing more they can do. Over the past two years, Schilling has battled through 16 rounds of chemotherapy after scans in late February 2024 showed nodules in her lungs. She was set to join a groundbreaking clinical trial in March 2026 tailored to her gene type. But her condition worsened over Christmas with severe headaches and numbness on one side. Schilling posted on Instagram that hearing those words changed everything and her light is fading quickly. Still, she's fighting to her last breath, surrounded by love from family and friends. Every day tests have grown much harder as radiotherapy failed to help.
