Brian Coburger is the suspect and criminology graduate student who was accused in the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students who were killed in Moscow, Idaho. Coburger 28 was arrested on December 30th of 2022 in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Court record show. His name was the first was first confirmed by WPVI, a Philadelphia news station. The accused man's full name is Brian Christopher Coburger. According to news nation reporter Brian Enten who posted the suspect's mugshot on Twitter. And you'll be able to check it out for yourself inside of this link. It'll be posted. But I'm sure most of you have already seen it by this point. If you're looking at the story, the mugshot is everywhere now.

3:19And you look at the guy and you want to say, oh, yeah, this dude looks like a stone cold killer. And in hindsight, obviously, we can say that. But this could have been a man standing right next to you at the store or somebody, obviously, who could have been sitting directly next to you in a college class. And this is what I'm talking about when I say evil is everywhere folks. None of us are immune from it. It doesn't matter if you're in Moscow, Idaho or if you're in the middle of New York City, you have to keep your head on a swivel, unfortunately, because we have a hyperveilin society. However, that wouldn't have mattered in this case. They were murdered in their homes in their beds. And what this does, at least for me, is it confirms that it was somebody that wasn't in their circle. Somebody that was on the outer edges, somebody that didn't even go to this college. This person was attending Washington State University as a graduate student. And that campus is only what eight miles away from Moscow. So it's not like he was far away from them,

4:22like living in Pennsylvania, meaning this person. So he probably, and this is my speculation, by the way, probably saw them out sometime and took a liking to them. And we all know how that ends up when somebody is seriously deranged like this person, obviously allegedly is. Co burger is facing extradition to Idaho on murder charges, the WPVI new station reports. Co burger and all rights,ville, Pennsylvania native is a graduate student at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, not far from Moscow. According to the WSU website, Co burger is pursuing his PhD in criminal justice and criminology. Now we're going to read a post from Reddit that this man posted about seven months ago. And it's pretty chilling in hindsight. But we're going to do that at the end of this episode. The deaths of Royal the campus town, the four friends were found inside a home, according to previous statements from police who created a website to debunk rumors and give out

5:24information as the community was gripped in fear. The deaths were previously ruled homicides. Police said, so here's what you need to know about Brian co burger. One, co burger was taken into custody in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, reports say NBC Philadelphia first broke the story that a man was in custody in the Idaho murders and later also named him as Brian Christopher co burger. Co burger was referred to in the NBC Philadelphia story as a person of interest. Authorities have not yet confirmed the arrest. NBC New York called the man a suspect in its headline. Now all of these sources, these outlets, they have a lot of well placed sources when it comes to cases like this, murder, police sources, people in the prosecutor's office. So when it comes to stuff like this coming out, you can be reasonably sure most times that it's at the very least very close to what's really going on. And my guess is that this is the person that they've been looking for. However, I will

6:30throw in this little tidbit. I was reading earlier from some sources, including Jennifer Coffin that an accomplice might have been arrested as well. Now I can't confirm that. And as of now, that's just speculation and scuttle but but it's something to keep on the horizon considering what went down here and how they've said that it could be multiple people throughout this whole entire thing. According to the NBC Philadelphia story, which broke on December 30th, co burger was taken into custody near the Polkano Mountains in connection with the November 13th, 2022 Moscow homicides. Number two, Moscow Idaho police announced they are holding a press conference on December 30th, 2022. In a press release posted to their Facebook page, Moscow police announced that they will be holding a 1 p.m. press conference on Friday, December 30th, 2022 in the city council chambers at 206 East Third Street of Moscow City Hall. That announcement came on the morning

7:34news broke about co burgers arrest. Police Chief James Fry will give an update of the ongoing investigation into the quadruple homicide that occurred at 1122 King Road on Sunday, November 13th. The press release says officials from the Moscow Police Department, Idaho State Police, the city of Moscow and the University of Idaho will be present. So it's obviously a significant press conference where I would expect them to announce that this is their suspect and they're going to continue moving forward with the extra edition process to get this man in Idaho to face the justice that he allegedly deserves. The police statement did not address the NBC Philadelphia story about a suspects arrest, but it said, please hold all media inquiries until after the news conference. All four victims were students at the University of Idaho. Please respect the privacy of the victims family, friends and loved ones as the Moscow Police Department investigates this tragic event.

8:35A police news release stated, and I hope that people who are out there pointing their finger at folks learn a good hard lesson from this one. You shouldn't be out there pointing your finger at people without evidence. Now you can say, and I think X, Y and Z happened at the crime scene, but to point your finger at somebody specifically without any evidence is just absolutely ridiculous. And there's a whole lot of people who did that once again, throughout this case, who are going to probably face some lawsuits. And I even remember a reading from that FBI agent, Gilliam, whatever his first name is about how Steve gone solvus was a suspect and how he might have done all of these murders. Imagine that. Imagine having the audacity to get on a platform, get on like Fox News or Newsmax. If you want to consider that an outlet even and say that sort of thing with no evidence, nothing to back it up. So hopefully throughout all of this, people are going to learn. And hopefully there's going to be some lawsuits. If I was Kaylee's ex boyfriend, Jack, I'd be suing the shit out

9:39of people. Believe it. Imagine trying to grieve your ex girlfriend who you've been with for all these years. And then all of a sudden you find out that she's murdered. And then on top of that, people want to jump on the internet and point their finger at you even after you've been cleared. Or how about hoodie guy? If I was hoodie guy, another person that should probably file some lawsuits and don't even get me started on the tarot reader. I mean, imagine the tarot reader, how she going to spin this one. She's looking at a fat ass lawsuit and she even doubled down on the nonsense. And it's all about driving traffic. It's all about the clicks. It's all about the engagement. Idaho murder suspect Brian Coburger allegedly made for boating sexist comments toward his female colleagues before he was fired sources have said Coburger 28 allegedly graded his female students harsher than men while working as a criminology graduate assistant at Washington State University, according to a new report. Well, we know that he graded harsher. We've heard that previously and we also know that according to these people that were around him, he was also a sexist. And what I find interesting about these reports is that they were made prior to him being named as the suspect. So this wasn't just a piling on. Now I'm sure there was some of that in the after

17:03math of all of this, you know, people coming out of the woodwork, giving their commentary about them knowing Brian Coburger, you know, 25 years ago or whatever. But when you're talking about recent relationships and you're talking about his current behavior while he's a teaching assistant at Washington State, I think that that information of him being this way currently recently is a lot more damning than him being a drug addict previously or a creep previously or a weirdo or whatever because there's a lot of people who are very awkward when they're young and then they grow up and they're not awkward anymore. But then there's people like Brian Coburger who are not awkward, they might seem awkward, but really they're just fucked up. The graduate student was charged in late December with the brutal stabbings of roommates Kaley Gonsalves, Madison Mogen, and Zana Kernodal along with Zana's boyfriend Ethan Chapin on November 13th. One month after four students were found heartlessly slashed to death outside the University of Idaho campus, Coburger was let go

18:10from the program. However, it was not for his alleged involvement in the killings. Former colleagues have told news nation that he was known for making snide comments toward women in the program, and this day and age that's not going to work out so well for you. With everybody being so hyper focused on other people's behavior, you better show up to work and just do your job and go home at this point, especially if you're working on a college campus where everybody's wilded and out already. Coburger allegedly told females at Washington State University that men would take all of their jobs because they were not as smart. Someone associated with the murder suspect told the outlet. The anonymous sources claimed that multiple people filed complaints against him after he harshly graded female students and a harassment training seminar was even held at the school. Now if you're the cause of your place of employment having to hold a harassment seminar, chances are you're not going to last too long at that company. And that's what happened with

19:12Brian Coburger. If it wasn't for these murders, he wouldn't have been able to keep this job anyway because the facade was slipping, right? The mask was falling and that second face, the hidden face that I always talk about here. Well, it was being revealed. Coburger was let go in December of 2022 after he had not made progress regarding professionalism, his termination letter seen by news nation states. The letter did not address any of the sexism allegations. According to the letter, Coburger allegedly had an altercation with the professor. He was assisting John Snyder on September 23rd, a professor allegedly emailed Coburger about the ways in which you had failed to meet your expectations as a TA thus far in the semester. By October 21st, the outlet reports, so he was having all of these issues leading up to the murders in Moscow. And like I said previously, I believe that the issues at work ended up being that tipping point where Brian Coburger finally said,

20:15now's the time. And whatever dam he had built inside of his brain to hold back the evil, well, it broke. The termination letter stated that department leaders met with Coburger to discuss an improvement plan on November 2nd, which was 11 days before the students were stabbed. After the Idaho students were murdered, Coburger also allegedly was involved in a second altercation with professor Snyder on December 9th, according to the letter. So you see what I'm talking about here? How this could have been the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back and set Brian Coburger in the motion? Mad at the professor, mad at everything that's going on, and then finally just snapping and doing what he allegedly did. Other people close to the matter have spoken out about alleged interactions with Coburger as he remains in jail awaiting trial. In one instance, Coburger allegedly followed a female student to her car according to two people familiar with the situation who spoke to the New York Times. No, nothing weird about that. 21:19calling you and saying, Hey, Dad, my professor was following me to my car. I'm sure all of you dads out there would react fantastically to that news. However, the university's investigation didn't find Coburger guilty of any wrongdoing in these complaints. A local brewery that Coburger frequented told news nation that female workers had complained about his inappropriate behavior in the past. They had even flagged his ID in the system to warn of his past action sources said. Coburger stands accused of fatally stabbing three young women, Kelley Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Zana Kernotal, as well as Zana's boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, on November 13th. We don't get a look inside of the courtroom, but following along with those documents, it gives us an idea at the direction things are going at the very least. Psst! In an unsealed arrest warrant, police described the list of belongings they recovered from his parents' home where he was arrested. Detectives took in four medical-style gloves, a black champion sweatshirt, black face masks, size 13 Nike shoes, a knife, black gloves, and the black hat during co-burgers arrest, the document states. After he was let go from Washington State University, co-burger drove all the way back to his parents' home in Pennsylvania with his father. Police in Pennsylvania are currently looking into any other potential homicides that could be linked to co-burger, according to reports. Co-burger was arrested on December 30th and has maintained his innocence, though he has yet to submit a formal plea. And as far as looking

24:25for cold cases that are connected to Brian co-burger, I don't know how successful they'll be at finding those in Pennsylvania especially. I would think that if co-burger has done this before, it might have been in the lead-up to murdering these kids in their house in Moscow. So perhaps look on the west coast for these kinds of murders. Now we know that the juteons up in Oregon, they suffered the same kind of attack, and while they ruled out Brian co-burger, that attack and the attack in Moscow were very, very similar. Somebody sneaks in in the middle of the night like that, and then they kill people, they don't take anything, and then they just slip out and they use a knife to do it. So that means that there's another killer out there if it's not Brian co-burger who's responsible for what happened to the juteons. So that's not a very comforting thought either, because whoever did that to them is obviously capable of doing it again. But the cold case situation with Brian co-burger, I don't know if they're

25:28going to be able to find anything as far as him being connected to murders inside of Pennsylvania. I believe that he always harbored these sorts of ideas, these sorts of fantasies if you will, but once he got out to Washington and once he started working in that TA job, and things started escalating as far as he selected a target, which who I think now at this point was a Madison Mogan, but once all of that started to come into play, that's when things really kicked in for co-burger, and that's when that second face made the appearance. And in my opinion, it all came to a head after he had these problems at work. And after all of those years of keeping those demons pressed down deep inside, Brian co-burger finally let them out. And according to the government, the massacre at 1122 King Road in Moscow was the result. All right folks, that's going to do it for this one. 26:30description box. What's up everyone? And welcome back to the program. Yesterday we heard that Brian co-burger and his legal team were accusing the FBI of intimidating their witness. Well, we're now learning that the witness may not have been completely truthful when it comes to their declaration and the affidavit that they gave. And that came after prosecutors noticed an irregularity with some of the testimony from the DNA expert that was called by Brian co-burgers team Gabriella Vargas. So like I said yesterday, remember the accusations that are being leveled by co-burgers team are just that accusations. It's the same as Murdoz legal team saying that there was all kinds of prosecutorial misconduct. That sounds really bad and it sounds like it's a foothold for Alec Murdoz, but is it really or are they just allegations that are being thrown out there to help muddy the

27:33water? Because remember at this point it's a game of narratives. Both sides are thinking about potential jurors and what potential jurors might think or say once the jury is in-paneled and co-burger is in front of them. So if co-burgers lawyers can sow some seeds of doubt with a potential jury that there is some prosecutorial misconduct, so much the better for Brian co-burgers team. But the problem is it doesn't seem like there's any there there. So let's dive into this article from Fox News and let's try and sort this all out. Headline FBI investigates key witness for Brian co-burgers defense. This article was authored by Michael Ruiz and it was published by Fox News. Rather than cross-examining an expert witness for the defense of Idaho, murder suspect Brian co-burger, Laita County prosecutor Bill Thompson flagged the FBI to investigate her following some contradictory testimony. Co-burgers defense has alleged grand jury irregularities,

28:38prosecutorial misconduct, and has attempted to discredit DNA methods used in the case. Gabriella Vargas, an expert on genetic genealogy, testified on the DNA issues during a hearing on August 18th. Days later the feds knocked on her door, according to co-burgers attorneys. Now look, if you give false statements in the court and you're under oath, that's contempt. You can go to jail for that. I'm not saying that's what she did here. I don't know, but if you're not being truthful and you're on the witness stand, that certainly contempt of court and you're looking at a jail sentence. So is it really witness intimidation as Brian co-burgers lawyers attempted to assert or is the FBI just going to shake some trees and doing what their job description tells them they should be doing? And for those of you out there who might be new listeners, I'm not a big fan of the FBI. I'm not in the business of defending them here, but

29:40right is right and wrong is wrong and you have to call balls and strikes how you see them. And it doesn't seem to me that the FBI is out of line for talking to a witness who might have purged herself in open court. I would think that's something that they would go and investigate. Last night she was visited by two FBI agents and interrogated about her testimony and the findings of her declaration. And Taylor co-burgers lead defense attorney said during an August hearing that in our view impacts Mr. co-burgers do process rights. And if it wasn't because her declaration didn't add up with her testimony, I'd be much more inclined to give the nod to co-burger here and say that his team has the right of it. Anytime the government is harassing a witness, not a good thing, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Now that we're getting some more details about this, certainly seems that Brian co-burgers team is once again playing some games. When we heard of that, I reached out to investigators and asked, can you find out what is going on?

30:45Thompson said, the FBI, indeed undertook an investigation and other reports are that Ms. Vargas claimed that some of what was in her declaration she had inadvertently agreed to or signed without fully reading. Now why in the hell are you signing any kind of court document, any document, by the way, without fully reading it? Especially if you are some kind of expert witness for the defense. I'm sure that the prosecutors are going to have a field day with this and my guess is that Ms. Vargas here is not going to be called as a witness when we get to the trial. Because if you're leaving things out in your declaration, the prosecutors are going to have a field day with that during cross-examination and the jury, well, I'm sure the jury would love to hear all about how you have no idea what you're talking about. The expert testimony had other controversy with prosecutors asking the court for permission to delay cross-examination to a later date

31:46over a snafu with PowerPoint slides. And that's relatively common during the process for one side or the other to object to the way something's being presented. We saw it during the valotrial. They tried to get some of the PowerPoint slides out of evidence because they say that they weren't prepared correctly or they didn't have time to look at them, you know, a whole host of reasons as to why this evidence shouldn't be admitted into the court. The exchange happened during an August 23 hearing but resurfaced last week after Thompson declined to cross-examination Vargas and another DNA expert and former FBI agent Tracy Walder told Vaughn Crime that such an interview is a typical. The FBI declined to comment but legal experts tell Fox News Digital that circling back for an interview with a witness who may have signed something she didn't read is a permissible move. Well yeah, the court is going to want to know what the hell's going on here. Why is an expert

32:48witness signing a declaration that she didn't read or she doesn't understand? Does that sound like a good idea to anybody out there? So why the hell is this lady doing it? And for me it really throws a whole cloud and shadow over Colbergers defense team. If you guys can't bring an expert to the table who can't even maintain basic clerical work with her avid, do you really think anyone's going to be giving you the benefit of the doubt when you trot out these experts? I don't think it's entirely unusual for prosecutors to direct their investigators agents of law enforcement to follow up with the witness. Said Ed Wina Elcox, a Boise based defense attorney who has not connected to the case. Unless something untoward happened, mere contact and follow-up is certainly not out of bounds. And of course, the way that Colbergers team was serving it up was that she was being intimidated. The G-men showed up and their suits in their black cars, you know, the whole thing. But really what was happening is it was a follow-up interview that was

33:53ordered by Bill Thompson and the prosecutor's office. And it was due to the fact that there were irregularities in the affidavit and the statements made by Ms. Vargas. That all seems pretty cut and dry to me. Colberger was pursuing a PhD in criminology at Washington State University on November 13th, 2022, when four students at the neighboring University of Idaho were stabbed to death at 4 a.m. in a home invasion attack. The victims were close friends, Madison Mogan, Kayley Goncalves, Zana Kernotal, and Ethan Chapin. On December 30th, police arrested Colberger at his parents' house in Pennsylvania. And now we're hearing from the state why they did this and why they dispatched the FBI to go talk to Mrs. Vargas. And when you look at the whole entire scenario, it makes a lot of sense. And certainly, at least in my opinion, doesn't seem to be something that would be even in the realm of misconduct. And I highly doubt that the court is going to look at it as misconduct either. Now, Judge Judge hasn't made a ruling one way or the other. But once he does make a ruling and an order or a document hits the docket, we'll definitely get it added to the catalog. But on the initial assessment of these claims that there was witness tampering or that the witness was being bullied, I don't see any evidence for that, at least according to what's been made public.
