Mega Edition: Epstein Might Be Gone But His Co-Conspirators Are Not (4/30/26)

0:00What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. As I continue to make my way through the Epstein files that have recently been released, one document has released it out to me. And that document is a diary of sorts, from a girl who was 16, 17 years old, who's alleging that she was being used, as a human incubator of sorts, to have Jeffrey Epstein's baby. And previously there was no real evidence that Jeffrey Epstein had any kids. But now we have the email from Sarah Ferguson and we have this diary entry of sorts from this girl. So I don't know if he had kids or not, but like I always tell you, I don't close the door on anything that has to do with Jeffrey Epstein until we have evidence one way or the other. So what we're going to do in this episode is we're going to read through this diary entry from this girl and I have to tell you, it is absolutely heartbreaking.

1:01And considering the nature of the content here on the podcast, I don't usually say things like, hey, trigger warning, but yo, I think I might have to do that right here. So consider that you're a trigger warning. And with that said, let's get into the document. Close your eyes, close your eyes, close your eyes. Don't speak. She doesn't talk. I can't stop shaking and it's been a week. A decision was made, but I can't tell Jeffrey. These things happened. Why didn't I close my eyes fast enough? The doctor was different again. I think from Israel. He had kind eyes, but didn't speak directly to me. This was different. A shot and those rod like things had a hook and so much pain. Galaine said to push all the pain away. I don't understand. It didn't water all over the bed and she was right. Like a feeling when your tummy hurts and when you have to push.

2:02She said to close my eyes and put my hands over my eyes, but I didn't close them because of the tiny cries. I'm so lost. I saw between her fingers this tiny head and body in the doctor's hands. It reached its tiny arm up and had a tiny foot. I closed my eyes and no more cries. I don't understand. Just say these things happened, but he doesn't believe that. They yelled and screamed and he said it will be the same in a couple of months and she said she was fed up with it all. I don't understand what's going on and no one will tell me. I can't go to school like this. I can't stop shaking. Why won't anyone make it stop? I know Galaine is trying, but nothing changes. Why didn't I close my eyes? In the hall, Galaine said that she was beautiful. She was, not is, she was, a beautiful girl. I heard her. Where is she? Why did she stop whimpering? She was born.

3:02I heard the tiny cries. I can't do this anymore. And then in the middle of this, there is another little insert called stillborn with the word still, exed out. And this is what it reads. These palms do not live. It's a sad diagnosis. They grew their toes and fingers well enough. There are little foreheads bulged with concentration. If they missed out on walking about like people, it wasn't for any lack of motherly love. Oh, I cannot understand what happened to them. They are a proper in shape and number and every part. They sit so nicely in the pickle fluid. They smile and smile and smile at me. And still the lungs won't fill and the heart won't start. They're not pigs. They're not even fish, though they have a piggy and a fishy air. It would be better if they were alive. That's where they were, but they are dead and their mother is dead with distraction and

4:03they stupidly stare and do not speak of her. Moving back to the actual entry that she was making, he was right. A couple of months and two pink lines and a hold on being with others until after it was positive. I want to die. Why didn't she protect me? As long as I'm wearing what you want, there's no respect for me as a human. I'm nothing but your property and incubator. You only trust me when I'm under your complete control. I will never trust another man ever. I am the only one who provides and sacrifices everything. I give and give out of terror and you take all out of me. You need me to continue, keeping us all connected, unlike drugs, a child's body can be sold over and over. This is not surprising, but there's no such thing as a child prostitute. There are children and cannot consent.

5:03They are missing, the biggest in my own backyard, and so many more, like Mar-a-Lago, and where I see Mr. Joe and Miss Anne. He's released me from this torture and hell. Controlled all by Jeffrey, all the time, get away from it all, and go to New Mexico. What in the hell? This makes no sense. What about school? Behind the scenes. He's now controlling everything when it used to be Galaine, who some days acts like she hates me. Secrets of all of them. I'm tired of keeping this secret. I know people are wondering, but I can't tell. I'm exhausted. I can promise this. I don't understand why she's treating me on some days, like I'm the enemy, but then when we lay in bed together, and she's how she used to be, warm. He makes her feel my tummy, and it's so sad and confusing. Superior gene pool? Why me? It makes no sense. Why my hair color and my eye color?

6:06That feels very Nazi-like, but I think about these stupid insane theories he has, I guess in his mind, it makes sense. The piano and music comments are made to convince me, this is right, and will create perfect offspring. He calls them. I don't think it works that way, and it's making me hate playing altogether, piano, or viola. I'm starting to resent them both. I miss the person I was before I was made into what feels as a human incubator. My friend redacted realized much of everything and came to get me at a marries. She made me leave. All things a value on the bed. She put all my belongings in the trash. I have maybe avoided New Mexico. I've been staying with friends, but never more than two or three nights because my mother is on the warpath. Redacted have been great, so great, but redacted saw changing, and knows about the baby. He said he promises to help me, and we will figure out a way, and what to do.

7:10My heart belonged to her. She was so very beautiful, she was perfect. I can't bring myself to write what happened. I am beyond broken. I only got ten to fifteen minutes to hold and feed her before they took her. She's mine. I want her back. I'm distraught. And here is another little poem that was inserted in the middle of this work. It's called Child. Your clear eyes is the one absolutely beautiful thing. I want to fill it with color and ducks, the zoo of the new. Whose names you meditate, April snow drop, Indian pipe little, stock without wrinkle, pool in which images should be grand and classical. Nothing this trouble is, ringing of hands, this dark ceiling without a star. Back to the diary. Help me. Please can't anyone find me? Barely survived all those procedures, my heart is gone. In the next page says concerned every day, her passion is dead, farewell to a princess

8:13and to an angel. In human profit, left behind, survived all those, heart is gone. April 22nd I had no choice. I wasn't ready and she wasn't ready. My mother had found me and it was urgent. After so many bonding moments with Jeffrey Galaine, their baby inside me, with me in the middle, she wouldn't even look at me. We said nothing to one another and I was so confused. When I arrived in Palm Beach, I was taken to a house close to Jeffries, I think called Ocean Boulevard or Street. But it was close and I was alone, except for a new driver, not Mr. Wan. An elderly French lady whose picture on the wall didn't have her... Predacted, she had a thick accent and was kind. I had that she had been born to deliver babies and had been doing so before I was born. Similar as to the last one, with shot and hook, but too much blood, with so much water

9:14and unbearable pain. She put her hands inside of me and seemed worried. I didn't understand. Something about the baby, facing the wrong way and putting pressure on a placenta, things would have to be different. She said I had to be brave and strong and listen to her directions so she could help safely get the baby out. I was terrified, seeing so much blood on the bed and floor and started to panic. She had me flip over on my hands and knees and had me push and push and it was so excruciating. I could feel everything if she tried to guide the baby out, but I was so tired. I felt as if I was dying, but suddenly she caught a beautiful baby girl who made more than a whimper but beautiful cries. She let me hold her and washed her and brought her back clean and perfect. She smelled so good and showed me how to feed her, but only after maybe 15 minutes Mr. M came to take her and I was hysterical and begging for more time.

10:17He said those horrible girls were in the car waiting, but I wouldn't let her go. The old woman promised me that she would be safe and I had to let her go. Four pounds, ten ounces, 18 inches, with beautiful long fingers on dead inside. Life has no meaning. I don't want to be here. Another poem that's been inserted, the girl is perfected, her dead. Body wears a smile of accomplishment, the illusion of a Greek necessity, flows in the scrolls of her toga, her bear. Feet seem to be saying, we have come so far, it's over. Each dead child coiled a white serpent, one at each little, picture of milk now empty, she is fooled. Then back into her body as petals of a rose, clothes when the garden stiffens and odors bleed from the sweet, deep throats of the night flower. The moon has nothing to be sad about, staring at her from hood of bone.

11:21She's used to this sort of thing. Her blacks crackle and drag. Back to the diary, Jean-Luc Brunel is a disgusting pig with bad breath, and I am almost positive does these disgusting things because he's struggling with maybe being gay. Six weeks wasn't even given before being sent back, punishment for trying to run. Why can no one help me, Golan is gone, I'm so lost and my heart is broken. Is this my destiny? I need them, everyone, all to see. I still always dreamed to build a better world, she went from being a beautiful young girl to a sad broken child, but maybe a hope after it all, I still truly had it within myself, one day, I aspire to be like this. She came in, like a lamb and went out, like a lioness. Alright, so that's the diary entry in its entirety, and if you ever wondered what nightmare a fuel is, well, this is it, alright folks, that's going to do it for this one.

Today's episode we're going to dive into an article from the Guardian talking about Jeffrey Epstein's associates and how just because they're not accused of crimes doesn't mean they're not dirt bags, and that's really where I've been the whole entire time, right? I've never sat here and said this one committed this crime or that crime, unless we've had some documentation to back that up. But when we're talking about what's right and wrong, when we're talking about enabling, when we're talking about looking the other way, when we're talking about being part of the overall larger scheme, that goes for all of them. Now it's up to the justice system to figure out how to prosecute people if they committed crimes, but those who enabled Jeffrey Epstein, those who were helping his operation move forward by helping them build his reputation, by allowing him back into their circles.

13:25They have a lot of explaining to do as well. And unfortunately a lot of those people have been able to avoid being asked the hard questions. And for me, hopefully this document dump starts getting that on the right track and it looks like we're starting to move in that direction a bit. More questions are being asked about Bill Clinton, which is certainly a good thing. There is no doubt that him and Jeffrey Epstein had a very, very tight-knit relationship. And that relationship should be examined under a microscope. So today we have an article from the Guardian and the headline. The Epstein associates aren't accused of committing any crimes, but that doesn't mean they didn't do anything wrong, and the author of this article is Lucia Osborne Crowley. As newly unsealed documents linked to a case against the convicted sex trafficker, Golan Maxwell, reveal names of high profile associates of Jeffrey Epstein, many are quick to reiterate that their place on the long-awaited list does not mean that they have done anything illegal. This is absolutely true.

14:25And as a court correspondent, it is incredibly important to stress the legal implications, or more accurately, lack thereof, of this new information. And that is 100% spot on, like I told you folks from the beginning. If you're looking for some sort of quote-unquote list that's never been seen before, you're going to be very disappointed because that doesn't exist at least not in the public conversation. The closest you're going to get is the black book. But as far as that smoking gun list, well, that's not going to be in this dump, that's for damn sure. With the exception of allegations made under oath by Johanna Schoberg against Prince Andrew, that if proven would amount to criminal conduct, most of those names on the list are not accused of any legal wrongdoing. But that doesn't mean we should not ask questions about the moral rather than strictly legal implications of their conduct. I mean this in two senses, both the personal moral implications for those named and the morals we hold as a society which are laid hideously bare in these documents.

15:27But I think that what we got here also, when we look at the whole Epstein situation, is a window into the world of the so-called elite, how they conduct themselves, how they think about other people. Look at the way the JP Morgan executives were talking about Epstein and his so-called abuse in that email chain. Look at the way other people just look the other way. And then to this day still, you have these same people that were hanging out with Epstein, who refused to give any information about their time with them. And then we're supposed to think that, oh well, they're just, you know, people who were there by chance. Here's an idea. If you want people to listen to what you're saying, if you want people to believe you, be honest, come forward, talk about what's going on, tell everybody, look, I was with Epstein, this is what I saw. I certainly didn't hurt nobody. But we don't get that. Instead what we've had is people running from these questions for all these years. And if you run from something, especially questions like this, what exactly should the public believe? And as much as I'm not a fan of Alan Dershowitz, at least the dude challenged what was laid

16:29out against him right, the rest of these people have all run from it. I've been working on a book about Jeffrey Epstein and Golan Maxwell, the culmination of my investigative reporting on the case for almost four years. The thing that shocks me even more than the graphic details I've learned from survivors that have never been made public is that this sick, sex trafficking ring was known about and enabled by such an enormous group of people for perhaps as long as four decades. And that's not hyperbole, at least four decades. And not only that, it's pan continents. We're talking about Europe, we're talking about North America, we're talking about Asia. So this pan continent and hell, I wouldn't be shocked if there was some Tom Foolery down in Africa as well. We know about South Africa, but what about elsewhere? And as far as the abuse that was suffered by these girls, I can concur. The stuff that I've heard behind the scenes off the record, it's enough to make you want to throw the fuck up. And that's not hyperbole either, that's just the truth.

17:31It is absolutely disgusting what happened to these women and how long it was covered up and how long this was allowed to go on. It is almost unbelievable to even imagine that something like this was able to happen under the nose of so many so-called smartest people in the room, but all of a sudden they all have amnesia. The number of people who saw or interacted with the victims I've spoken to, people who were famous, wealthy, headline grabbing or otherwise, and did not ask questions about why they were there is staggering. And that's really what it comes down to for me, not guilt by association like some people are trying to frame it, guilt by an action. You knew what was up. You knew that this dude didn't have all these hot girls running around because he's some kind of hot dude, some kind of muscle bound, the donnis, give me a break. We all knew the deal. And if you were making pretend that you didn't know, if you were putting your head in the sand and acting like you didn't know, well, breaking news, none of us believe you. The headline for me of the most recent tranche of documents in an email in which the Epstein

18:35survivor, Virginia Roberts, alleges that former president Bill Clinton, walked into Vanity Fair and threatened them not to write sex trafficking articles about his good friend, referring Robert says to Jeffrey Epstein. This is an allegation that has not been proved, but that doesn't mean it is not worthy of further inquiry. And the same is true for so many other allegations in the Epstein files. And that's really all I've ever called for as well, a robust investigation. That's not too much to ask for is it a real investigation? The penis, let's bring people in, let's get them under oath and let's clear it all up. Why do they refuse to do that? Why do they refuse to bring people in and get them on the damn record? That would be a great place to start. No, if you want to have a real investigation, that would be the way to do it. But we haven't seen that have we the question here is not just criminal conduct in terms of actually sex trafficking and or sexually abusing children. If that were really our base societal moral standard, we should be taking a long hard

19:39look at ourselves. The more pertinent question, particularly when the number of Epstein associates is so staggeringly high, is about knowledge of criminal conduct, which should breach our moral if not necessarily legal standards. If Robert's allegation is true, it goes some way to proving that the former president knew at the very least that there were allegations of sex trafficking circulating about his good friend. And do you really believe there weren't any allegations circulating about his good friend? They're most certainly were however, I'm not too sure about this story about Bill Clinton storming into vanity fair. I can't prove it. This is what Virginia says, but we know that Epstein definitely called vanity fair and sweated them about an article coming out from the former sisters. So we know that vanity fair has been pressed before and we know that Graydon Carter allegedly caved. So I don't know if it's true or not, but certainly it should be part of a robust investigation. No. And not for nothing.

20:40This is exactly why they didn't use Rico. If they used Rico, all these people like Bill Clinton and the rest of them, they'd all be caught up and they couldn't have it. They just couldn't have it. So instead they tried to give us a little bit of piecemeal justice. Oh, here's Golan Maxwell, a little red meat. Well, what about everybody else? And I would think that we could start with people who were already mentioned by a judge in the middle of a human trafficking trial as being part of the criminal enterprise, right? Probably a decent place to start. If a person, particularly a person who has been elected as a role model, has knowledge of such serious allegations, they should be expected to investigate them further, rather than shutting them down. Similarly, the supermarket billionaire Ron Berkel appeared overnight on a list of potential witnesses for the defamation case with a court document. Number four, one that a legal practitioner must wear is a true and accurate representation of their knowledge, stating that he has knowledge of Golan Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual trafficking conduct.

21:41Again, this does not prove he had knowledge of crimes being committed. It states that Robert's lawyers had reason to believe he had knowledge of conduct relevant to the sex trafficking allegations. We don't know what that conduct was, but the lawyers apparently thought evidence about it could help prove sex trafficking. Also on the witness list were Clinton's former adviser Doug Band, who the document states may have knowledge of Golan Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual trafficking and interaction with minors. The list also includes Eva and Glenn Dubin, Prince Andrew, the US politician Gwendolyn Beck, and lawyer Alan Dershowitz, the former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, and the fashion magnate Leslie Wexner. For each witness, a version of the phrasing has knowledge of or may have knowledge of sex trafficking conduct is used. We should be determined to find out what each of these people did in fact witness, and whether they could have intervened to protect Epstein's victims, but chose not to.

22:43I know of many other names of people who allegedly either participated in the abuse or witness the presence of underage girls in Epstein's various homes or planes, names I've been told I cannot report because of the easily abused defamation laws in England and Wales set to be reformed through upcoming anti-slap legislation, who should also be asked to explain on the record how much they knew, and there's a lot of that. There is a whole bunch off the record stuff that I have heard from survivors that it's just unbelievable, it is really unbelievable. And the sad truth is there's a ton more that we just don't know about. This speaks to the important difference between the role of journalism and the legal system. Having worked as a practitioner in both, I feel strongly that the role of the press right now is both to clarify the law and to ask hard questions about actions or omissions that may not be illegal, but about which we should still, as the fourth estate, be asking hard questions.

23:43Hallelujah. Finally, somebody in the legacy media trying to do the right thing, how about some hard questions? Is that too much to ask? That's all I've ever asked for. No more softball questions, no more referring to a 2019 statement from Bill Clinton spokesman, how about we go to Billy Boy himself? Is that too much to ask or what? A failure to intervene when you suspect or close your mind to the possibility of the continuing commission of crimes as serious as the abuse of children may not be illegal, but if we wish to continue pushing for a world that delivers some degree of justice for abuse survivors, then it should certainly be considered gravely immoral. In some cases, the law itself backs up this theory, the US concept of conscious avoidance, which the jury were instructed about at length, as I sat in the press gallery of the Maxwell trial, and which means ignoring signs that may raise questions about illegal activity can, under some pieces of legislation, including some sex trafficking legislation be illegally

24:45equivalent to actual knowledge of a crime, or just drop Rico on all these fools, and that will really do them in. It's the most powerful tool that the government has in their toolbox. They saw fit to use it against young thug, they saw fit to use it against Keith Rainierie, they saw fit to use it against our Kelly, how come not going Maxwell? We are witnessing this week the unveiling of the true extent of perhaps the biggest and most powerful sex trafficking conspiracy in modern history. The number of people who knew or decided not to know about its existence was critical to its success and impunity, which lasted for decades and is continuing. If we are truly to start to change the way the justice system and our culture views sexual offenses, we must not put the bar so low as to only include the perpetrators, we must hold the enablers to account whether they broke the law or not. And that's really what it comes down to. We have to parse through all of this BS and see what's what and the people that knew

The situation down in the US Virgin Islands has always been absolutely fubar, but finally people are starting to report on how bad things are or were down in the US Virgin Islands when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and the help he was receiving from elected politicians on the island. I can't tell you how many times I felt like Jon Snow during the Battle of the Bastards, you know when he's standing there by himself and everybody's charging at him? That's how I felt about this USVI issue for the last few years. I know, I know, what about Alexander Acosta? Today's article is from the St. Thomas source and the headline, Open Forum, Epstein Enablers

26:53in the USVI, action speak so much louder than words. This article was authored by David Silverman. And what I love to see is the local media down here in the US Virgin Islands, starting a whole people accountable. Before you never saw any articles like this talking about Albert Bryan or Dijong working with Jeffrey Epstein and the crazy part is it was like the worst kept secret in the history of the world. Everybody who follows the case or at least follows it more than a surface level understood that the politicians in the USVI were on the take last month with much fanfare. Governor Albert Bryan Jr. announced what he called a major initiative to curb human trafficking in the USVI. There is no question that human trafficking is an atrocity which should be addressed head on and not only curbed but rooted out at its base and expunged from the territory.

27:55I like this Mr. Silverman and where he is going with all of this because I feel the same way. But the sad truth is, at this point in time, there are more people enslaved around the world than any other time in history. Now remember, modern day slavery takes on many forms, sometimes it's human trafficking for work purposes, sometimes for much worse, more disgusting purposes if you get my drift. But the fact of the matter is, this is a huge problem that's affecting everywhere in the world. There's no place that's immune from these sick bastards who are praying on the vulnerable and the sad truth is, Jeffrey Epstein was only the tip of the iceberg. After doing a bit of research, it surprised me to find that the Virgin Islands already has a comprehensive law entitled prevention of and remedies for human trafficking which can be found at Title 14, Section 3a of the Virgin Islands Code.

28:55The law was enacted in July of 2018 during the final months of the map administration. So in other words, all that stuff we talked about previously, about Albert Bryan and the new human trafficking laws, all of this stuff was on the books already. So all that yim yam we heard from Bryan talking about how that money is going to go to human trafficking and different centers to help women, what a bunch of BS. That money is going to go directly in the pocket of these corrupt as bastards. That's where the money is going to go. Like usual, you think the people of the Virgin Islands are going to benefit from this windfall of cash or do you think some smarmy ass politician is going to benefit from this cash? Meanwhile, none of it should have been distributed to the Virgin Islands in the first place. Remember, I'm not talking about the people of the Virgin Islands, they've been victimized by their politicians as well. My problem, once again, like usual, is with the leadership. And I know some of you don't want to hear it, but that goes for Stacey Plasket as well.

29:59This woman, in my opinion, is not even fit to cook scrambled eggs in the morning. Never mind have a position of prominence. She's out here taking a bunch of dough from Epstein, saying she's not going to return it, and when she gets called out on it, she decides, oh, maybe I should return it now. Talk about somebody of little character, and let me be very, very clear. Nobody that was paddling around with Jeffrey Epstein, nobody that was taking money from Jeffrey Epstein should be sitting in judgment of other Americans ever. But because Stacey Plasket is dancing to the correct political tune right now, nobody goes after her. Well, guess what, we don't play those games here on this podcast, everybody gets it. There's no corner for any of these people that were appalling around enabling and dissociating with Jeffrey Epstein, and I don't care what stupid ass political party you're part of. So for his entire time in office, Governor Brian has had at his disposal an arsenal of legal weaponry to counter human trafficking.

31:01And with the brutal historical legacy of the trafficking of enslaved African people through the middle passage, one would think that the Virgin Islands of the United States would have long ago obliterated human trafficking from our shores. My guess is the citizens of the USVI are not big fans of human trafficking, okay? And I'm also guessing that they demand more of their politicians. Unfortunately, it seems like everybody who goes into politics these days is nothing more than a self-serving jerk off. With the necessary laws already in our code, how is the USVI performed over the past five years in the prosecution of human trafficking cases? Well, let's take a look. The Human Trafficking Institute publishes annual reports on the performance of all states and territories in bringing new cases and securing convictions against human traffickers. Here are some of the highlights of their report on the Virgin Islands.

32:01The 2018 report of the Institute states, the Virgin Islands has zero criminal human trafficking cases active in 2018, ranking it last in the nation with four other states and territories. You mean to tell me there's not one human trafficker in the US Virgin Islands, huh? Okay, I guess so. The 2019 report states that courts in the Virgin Islands convicted zero defendants in human trafficking cases in 2019, ranking it last in the nation for number of defendants convicted. And the 2021 report states that in the Virgin Islands, zero new criminal human trafficking cases were filed in federal courts in 2021. Federal courts in the Virgin Islands last ordered a convicted human trafficking defendant to pay restitution in 2017. So they said they were getting all this money because they have a human trafficking problem on the island. They were going to use this money to help people who have been human trafficked yada yada yada.

33:05What did I tell you then? Well, the numbers are backing up what I told you and what I've been telling you for years is this. The politicians in the US Virgin Islands who are working with Epstein, they're corrupt. All these politicians who are trying to get money from the survivors, they're corrupt. And anybody who ever received money from Jeffrey Epstein should be part of a Rico case. These facts and figures raise some serious questions. If there is no human trafficking taking place in the USVI and unlikely premise, why is the governor making such a public issue of it today? And if there is trafficking of vulnerable people taking place, why has the GVI done little or nothing about it in the five years since the local statute was enacted? This does not appear to be a matter of lack of laws. It is clearly a matter of the lack of enforcement of laws already in place. Now, we know that the USVI has been under an intense spotlight of sex trafficking news,

34:07stemming from the Jeffrey Epstein crimes and the allegations of complicity by various people in positions of political power in the territory. With the comprehensive legislation already at its disposal and the history of worst in the nation enforcement, one would think that the first and most significant step to be taken by the governor would be to request that the Virgin Islands Department of Justice, which reports directly to the governor, appoint an independent prosecutor to investigate all allegations of complicity in human trafficking directed at current and past political brokers in the USVI, hallelujah. How long have I been calling for this? And to see this call being taken up by residents now down in the USVI, it gives me some hope that eventually perhaps we'll get a special counsel here because there's a lot of people that need to be outed and there's a lot of people that need to go to prison. That would be action, not words, that would directly respond to the tarnish which the entire

That might, of course, implicate some close associates of the current political elite, but wouldn't those people whose names have been mentioned want to fully exonerate themselves? A special prosecutor not only brings charges against those who may have committed crimes, the special prosecutor can also clear the names of those who are innocent. This week documents were published in the USVI, first JP Morgan case, which includes statements made by ex attorney general Denise George in her deposition in that case. Former attorney general George describes how she was asked by Governor Brian to consider a waiver of travel restrictions for Jeffrey Epstein. She states that she refused to consider this because there was no justifiable reason and she resisted the political pressure coming from the office of the governor. When asked by the attorney for JP Morgan, if her refusal might have been one of the factors in her eventual firing, the attorney for the USVI objected to the question and instructed

36:15George not to answer. Oh, of course not, look, we all know that the powers that be in the USVI and elsewhere want nothing to do with this story. And they certainly don't want to be held accountable for the bullshit they were up to. If we don't meticulously clean our own house first, how can speeches and pronouncements be seen as credible? Are the governor's words simply public speech attempting to take the moral high ground in current litigation? I commend every step taken to root out human trafficking of vulnerable people, to prosecute to the full extent of the law and spare no measures to ensure that the Virgin Islands of the United States shall never again be a safe haven for notorious sex trafficking.
