Medical Tourism Can Be Dangerous

About this episode

Recently, four United States citizens were shot and kidnapped in Matamoros, which is a city in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. Upon further investigation, it was found that one of the members of the group was in Mexico to obtain a cosmetic medical procedure. The fact is that every year, millions of American citizens cross the border into Mexico to take advantage of lower-cost medical care. This phenomenon is called medical tourism.

In this episode I discuss medical tourism, the pros and cons and what you should do before deciding to seek out medical procedures in another country.
