The shooting happened during a gathering in a wooded area and claimed the life of 18-year-old Kimber Mills while injuring several others. Twenty-seven-year-old Stephen Tyler Whitehead, the main suspect, faces murder charges after her death and remains in custody. Public Outcry grew after cell phone video surfaced, allegedly showing McCulloch and another man provoking Whitehead before the gunfire. An online petition demanded charges against both, highlighting their role in escalating the fight. Meanwhile, Salis McKay, the other man charged with assault, went through his own bench trial on March 6th. He was found guilty, but plans to appeal so he can face a jury instead.
