Maxey's Playoff Heroics End Celtics' Season

0:00On May 3rd, Tyrese Maxi just crushed my Boston Celtics dreams in the playoffs, leading the Philadelphia Sixers to a 1-9-100, win at TD Garden to close out the series. The dude took over as the new face of Philly after his Kentucky days, and now he's got them advancing while Boston's packing it in early. This was Philly's first series win over the Celtics since 1982, snapping an all-time collapse for Boston after they blew it three games. To one lead, the Sixers were 0 and 18 historically when down 3-1 in the playoffs, and Maxi flipped that script completely. As a Celtics fan, I'm salty about it, especially in our house during a do-or-die game, but props to Maxi, he's the Kentucky legend who became an NBA fan, favorite for a reason. That lost things bad, knocking us out in the first round when we had every chance to cruise. Maxi dropped 30 points on 11 of 18 shooting. 2-0-4 from deep, plus 11 boards and 7 assists to seal the deal. Now Philly heads to the Eastern Conference semi-finals against the New York Knicks.
