Matt Miller Picks Howard Over Allar for Steelers

Miller says they'd roll with Will Howard, their 2025 sixth-round pick from Ohio State, over the 2026 third-rounder Drew. A large from Penn State, Howard's a 24-year-old, who sat most of his rookie year, but lit it up in college with 4,010 yards, 35 touchdowns, and just 10 picks, leading the Buckeyes on a strong run. Meanwhile, Alar's 22 earned all Big 10 honorable mention through for 3,327 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions getting Penn State to the playoff semis. Miller sees Alar as the true long-term fix thanks to that higher draft investment, but Howard's got the edge right now with the year in the system and his proven mobility and leadership. Only time will save Rogers sticks around and pushes this all back another year.
