Massive Apartment Towers Proposed in Salford

The project from Crescent Investments and Forshaugh Group would transform an old retail spot into Riverside Place if it gets the green light. That side of Region Road in Ortsall Lane used to house McDonald's, KFC, and Casino, with demolition already oked back in 2023. Now they're eyeing one, two, and three bedroom flats plus a two-story community pavilion for shops, eateries, and local events on 6,000 square meters of fresh public space. Better connections are part of the deal too, linking software keys to Manchester City Center with upgraded paths for walkers and cyclists, including A, Riverside ramp and seating spots. Folks in the area stand to gain from over 1,000 new jobs, and 1.7 million pounds in council tax cash for local fixes.
